    My M1009 in Flames.

I expected to see a CUCV on fire... Cool paint job! much better than seeing one burning!

    Aftermarket engine upgrades

I wasn't merly saying I want to keep it stock, just like you said mudguppy, the time and modification required just isn't worth it to me personally. I would love to see what could be though.

    Aftermarket engine upgrades

I agree 110%. I would gladly give up some power and speed for the ability to pour almost any flammible liquid in the tank and get the heck out of dodge.

    Ones that Rusted Away

I passed a 1953 chevy belair convertable every day for 5 years on the school bus when I was going to Middle school. (1990 or so) It needed some work, had 4 flats and needed a new top and upolstry. When I got my DL, (1996) I went there with $1000 cash my grandmother had left me, and knocked on...

    kerosene as a fuel

Opps.... I ran at least two tanks of mostly kero through my 2004 dodge cummins last summer, I was stuck and that's all I could get. I forgot about the lube issues or I would have added some oil to it. Diesel is up $.30 here, in 3 days.

:deadhorse::popcorn:aua:doh: Calling all Mods... Seafire, you can't post locations/auctions on here, they changed the rules not too long ago about it.

M109A3 shipping from CA to WA?

Sleep in the back, that's what I did when I took mine to VA.

M109A3 shipping from CA to WA?

:ditto:I've never stopped at a scale, never had an issue. Even towed a M146 trailer on a dolley behind my M35, 39,589#s.

    the "shed of dreams"

They must not sell them very often, too much stuff in front of the racks. I could see it now- "jeep, $500. Moving the tank and such out of the way for the forktruck, $37,000"

    True m109a3?

Yes, that's what I was asking. Thank you! Not sure if it is coming up for disposal, it is in a lot with M813 and M35A2 and M35A3... Interesting. I wonder how many they converted? I was just asking because I've never seen one or heard of one.

    True m109a3?

I picked up a M35 for Gearspec last week from Ft. Jackson. When I was rolling off base, I looked over to a field full of trucks and trailers, and spotted an M109A3, literally. the chasis was modifided A3, with the M109 box. I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen one, and if it was an...

    M1031 Contact Maintenance Truck.

I'm trying to procure a M1031 through DRMO for the Shaw Railroad. We just got a set of hyrail gear from DRMO (lejeune) and now I need a truck to mount it to. :-D

    Won a wrecker

I bid on a lot of stuff at Lejeune, and won. Wife was mad. I said I 'thought someone would outbid me'. So I have the feeling if I "accidently" won something else, it would "accidently" wind up on fire!!

    Deuce oil.

We get 55 gal drums of SAE-30 for the locomotives, they have cummins NTA-855 engines. I bought a 55 gal drum of Rotella 15w-40 3 years ago, because I had 2 deuces, a tractor and my pickup, all diesel. It was just over $375 for the drum. It may or may not be that cheap now. (probably not) I...

    sustained top speed

I usually run mine around 50-55, but I was towing a M35 for Gearspec this weekend and down hill I got to 62mph and 2700rpm, but not for extended periods. But I will cruise with the M109 right at 2550 all day, no real issues. Mine is turned up by the gov, so if I punch it it will hit 2700-2800rpm...
