    Li'l Ruthie's first assignment

RE: Li Great set of pics. The truck looks great! I like all the details. What did you do to modify the air intake? It looks cool.

The truck is not mine, but I don't think it would affect steering much on the 5 tons.

    Daisy chain towing deuces

I have decided to hold off on towing two vehicles. Not because I don't think it will work, but because that would be one big and loooooonng rig which may attract a little too much attention. After all, the truck itself isn't legal on the US highway system (overwidth).

Probably nobody better to convoy with than a wrecker. Just in case!

Thanks for the info, but could have done without the visual from the last sentence! :-)

    Daisy chain towing deuces

I know the medium tow bar is rated for 40,000#, but that would include offroad usage. I do have one of the heavy tank towbars, but no adapters for the 1" pins used on the 5 ton. I'm still kicking myself for not buying those on ebay a while back. They went for $65/pr. aua I guess that...

    Daisy chain towing deuces

I need to move some vehicles around and I dug up this message from a few months ago. I have experience using a towbar for towing with several different types of vehicles. I know the standard rule is tow something the same size or smaller. When vehicles approach the same size/weight, there are...

    How Much Pressure?

It also depends on application. Higway vs. offroad, loaded vs. unloaded, etc.

    Combat Rims

Yes, they are the 2 piece bolt together rims used for running singles.

Oh yeah, that Allison will be nice. :) The GVWR of the 800 series is about the same.

Neither of those trucks are mine. I don't think the tank is modded and would be over the limit if fully loaded. The highway payload rating on the M813 is 20,000. The water alone would be 21,500. How much does the tank weigh? What are you mounting your tank on? M911?

    Stacked 813

Here are a couple of pics of dual stacks. The first is M813 and the second is M52A2.
