    Vehicle recognition

:ditto: I think that is just a 5 ton xlwb bed on the second one. I like the first one, in 6x6 configuration. Jones will have a "new" 4x4 version out soon!

    Bridge Truck with 15.5 x 20 singles

Why did you choose to go down in tire size? Was the width an issue?

    Towbar Parts?

You can get a single off ebay. They are normally about $60-$70. They are either 3/4" or 1" pins. Be sure to measure what you have and see what your vehicles take.

I'm in Northern Oklahoma, an hour east of I-35. Maybe we can meet up at the rally Jason is organizing.

Everything can "fit", but a few modifications may be required. Just see the post with the Dodge Ram Charger and 16.00s!

    HMMWV tires

I have had great success with the bias tires in an off-road application on a M1008. They have great traction and seem to be nearly puncture resistant on sharp rocks. I also have a set of the radials and plan to put those on another M1008 for more on-road driving. Maybe then I can give more...

The medium also works well with the CUCV. I thought the CUCV took the smaller 3/4" pins, but it takes the 1".

    Camo Pattern

I got the M1008 running today. It is nice to have progress every once in a while. The camo pattern looks different from others I have seen. What is it?

    Towbar Comparison Pics

To follow up on some of the recent discussion regarding different size towbars, I took a few pics today comparing my medium and large bar. I believe the medium is rated for about 40,000#. Various adapters are also shown for the medium towbar (3/4" and 1" pins). The large bar uses 1.5" pins.

    What does this insignia represent?

Did you drive it? Can you give us some insight to the condition? It seemed reasonably priced to me.

    What does this insignia represent?

Hey that is a sweet 900 series prototype! I saw it on ebay. I think it is up in Delaware somewhere. Maybe its kin to the BMY truck Eastern Surplus has been marketing.

    XM828A2-custom design I'm working on

RE: XM828A2-custom design I Maybe you could just get a M819. The wheelbase is the same as the M814 and you already have the wrecker front winch, crane, and 5th wheel. A little less work to put it together as well!

5 ton tractor with a deuce bed? Good idea or not?

It was nice until I had a boo boo. Here is a pic of the other side. I replaced the front axle and now this truck is for sale.
