    Shipping Container Dolly?

I have one of each the light one with jeep wheels one with duece wheels and one with five ton wheels. I only bought them because I bid low on them and won them without competition. I paid less for them than I would have paid for one wheel on the five ton model. The bigger ones have lots of...

RE: Re: RE: M818 1,200 miles and home Thanks Friends, I can not emphasize enough what a great men Tim and Robert are. We certainly put the truck through it's trials driving almost nonstop except for the night in the hotel. It ran for hour after hour without skipping a beat. That Cummins...

    Fuel Prices

RE: Re: Fuel Prices It is pretty stupid that the prices are so high on diesel. It is the fuel that runs our country and gives us most of our supplies, Trucks and Trains use it so all of our prices rise when diesel hits the skies time to make some real changes in this country. NO FREE HAND...

    GL Trouble

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: GL Trouble Oh for the days of picking the SF 97 up at the office of the DRMO on the way out of the gate. Beurocracy is not a good thing. That is one reason we all like Steel Soldiers it is almost free of it.

    M1031, $7400.00!

Wow is right! I find that missing the front shackles is often a sign that the rest of the truck is picked over. I always thought that these contact trucks should be dual rear wheel variant.

Ham Radio Operators / Steel Soldiers

I have a HF radio in my duece, it is a 125 Watt model with a self tuning antennae. Would we be able to get a standard frequency that we could DX on? I am waiting on my call sign to be renewed as the last time I had one it was back in the 70's. I think it is a great idea to get it started...

I will have a much better apprciation for the top speed next week after driving mine home 1,200 miles. Any guesses on how much fuel I will burn? Not an attempt to hijack the tread but I assume the OD question related to ecomomy of driving. I am going to try and keep it around 50 on the GPS...

    $4 a gallon!

Wow: I know that this will certainly be impacting my thoughts of taking retirement. With all the trucks we have that burn diesel I am thinking of mining old home heating oil tanks in the area. That way I could set up a small refinery in my back yard and refine it to refresh it. I am hoping to...

    Clutching the XM818 W/W

David: What do you think caused this trouble? I am going to be clutching my way north in our M818 next week and would like to know some tell tale signs of what led you to replacing the clutch. How hard was it to drop and any pictures would sure be great but I know you all are getting more of...

    FMTV up close

RE: Lease / return...? The trucks are also not duel rated 2 and a half tons it for the LMTV. I could load a duece with way more weight and keep it on the road. The Armored Cabs are very heavy and degrade the capacity even more. Most mechanics would take a HEMMT wrecker over a MTV one...
