The 427 had reliability issues from what I have heard. The transmission had a different shift pattern. I can't tell you much on the gearing other then the plate I have on my wall from one shows a top speed of 60 rather then 56.

Transmission is different, most had a sprag and they had the short lived 427 multi fuel.

The Deuce sizes are deceiving. We put mine next to my buddie's suburban and the deuce just came out 3 ft longer. I think wider and taller is where it hurts.
