Powr Lok is a good unit. I had one in a front D60 with 37" Boggers and did all kinds of stuff with that and never once had it let one tire spin without the other when it needed to.

I probably have one of the heavier deuce trucks on the site with 20K Garwood nested in front, V8 CAT, and mid mounted M977 crane. I've scaled the truck at 18,000lbs with 8 on the front and 10 on the rear. I changed front wheels and tires over to A3 wheels with 40" Conti's to up the front tire...

Nice! Occasional outrigger-less work is a necessary evil but the truck will tell you what's on its mind before beg trouble.

The transfer case is divorced mounted so almost whatever engine and trans you feel like can be put in. Quite a few have gone with the 4BT Cummins and several of those with NV4500's. It's a good swap. Down and dirty if you have the time is the CUCV axle swap then SBC and TH350 or 400 and a 40"...

Neat...but if you scrap it you can do something constructive with the money. There's prolly at LEAST $3500 sitting there...
