Home made 10 ton goosneck using military axles.

How are you not going to be over the factory GCWR of the Dodge with a 20,000lb GVWR trailer?

    Gentlemen need your help

I found a place, not a dealership, that called out to their supplier and was told that if it is on the price list, they can get it. There are also two different exhaust valves for that engine- a medium duty and heavy duty version. I'm guessing the Humvee would have the heavy duty valve...

ADDI, what year is the engine? I called dealership and they do not stock that item anymore.

    Pto??

Good luck with that direction. I looked and looked to try and find a PTO that would work. It seems as if the helix angle on the PTO's drive gear in the tranny is different helix angle from most of what you'll find. Another place to try is www.ptohydraulics.com - they sell Muncie and I...

    Who has M656, XM757 and XM791 Parts?

    Ha, nope...that's okay.

    Locking Diff

Yep, you can't cheat experience either. Think what you want and the rest of us that know it works will use it. [thumbzup]

    Locking Diff

Holy smokes...ever hear of traction control? Let's take for example a Lexus SUV with traction control. You would NOT EVER BELIEVE how well that could do in poor traction environments because of the traction control. There is NO limited or locking diff offered for one of the rears even though...

    Locking Diff

Maybe he was "power-jacking" to see what it would do. The only M35 series trucks to have factory lockers were sent to Scandinavia on a limited amount of trucks. M35 Tom has a set in his truck. There are a few sets around but their pricey. You want a locking diff, you get a Detroit or a unit...

    Who has M656, XM757 and XM791 Parts?

Gimp, YES- the thing in red. Not the Allison's PTO, but the box it drives to. Looks like these pics out of a truck. These units are not quite 1:1 ratio. They're probably a 15% overdrive in one direction at 10% overdrive in the other. Fairly compact unit...being a just a little larger than a...

    Who has M656, XM757 and XM791 Parts?

Of course I have to find a specific part on a pretty uncommon truck to seek out- (nothin's easy  ) anyway on these 8x8 trucks, if they came equipped with a front winch they had a PTO on the Allison auto that drove to another PTO box that was frame mounted then to the winch from there...

    Aircraft Tractor

A buddy of mine had one of these a few years back. Very neat truck but wildly limited because of it's single duty usage. The three steering settings are cool and super handy for getting into tight places. The t-case on his was locked in low range so you only had that speed with no option for...

    Titling bobbed deuce in PA

Technically, by the book, it would need a reconstructed title as there is frame modification. A Police Officer would not know if he he pulled you over unless for some crazed reason you supplied him registration, insurance card, and title with the axle count on it. So, has anyone?..doubt it...

    Check your fuel pump!!!

Mcinfantry is a real good guy and has built some very, VERY nice trucks!!! I met him way back when the M715 Zone was fun. When the self proclaimed Grand Poobah got out of control, Mcinfantry, M1028, myself and a couple others pulled out and haven't looked back. Mcinfantry pulled out with style...

    I found a V8 Deuse

The only benefit the REB Kit would have over an air shift case would be that IF you had to pop start the truck and the air bled down, you could slap in 6 wheel so you wouldn't drag the tandems. REB Kits were sprag eliminitor kits plain and simple. Work great, I love the one I have. Found an...

    deuce engine swap

Cummins flywheel for a multitude of reasons. As far as clutch, you sort of have options. The standard diesel deuce truck uses a 13" flywheel. IF, by chance, you can't fit that size clutch/pressure plate onto the Cummins flywheel, the early deuce gas trucks used a 12" clutch/pressure plate...

    Garwood roller fairlead

I've been thinking about this thread and finally remembered while I was up at my shop. I have a 20,000lb Garwood on the back of my 406 'Mog and wanted to double check the fairleads on them. My roller fairleads are definitely NOT aluminum. They're either steel or cast iron, but positively not...

    deuce engine swap

I don't know Dodge like I know Chevrolet. If you decide to go with the medium duty parts you can do a search to find threads on Chevrolet engine swaps, or look in the M715 section and search me. I put a deuce tranny behind a 427 in an M715. If you go another way...you'll have to wait for...

    deuce engine swap

Do you happen to have a Chevy adapter on it...like to a TH400? It's possible to go from Chevy to a 3052 direct drive or 3053 over drive deuce tranny with Chevy medium duty truck parts...IF you find the correct ones. You also probably want to source the overdrive transmission as your stock one...

Good call on the 15.50 example G- A lot of guys forget about them. Same size as 395 XML but with the typical XL pattern and a bit heavier.
