oh and as far as fuel useage i get 14mpg with mine pulling my m105 on the highway but i have 15.5s on there so i'm sure yours will be less with stock tires.i think it helped my mpg since now i dont have to stay full throttle all the time just to get the truck to go
i turned mine up till it just started to give black smoke at full throttle . then with the bigger tires and muffler on ther im gettin about 2600 and 15 at 1500. it makes a huge difference probably doubled the accelleration . before i turned the fuel up it would take me about a mile to get to 55...
one of two made can be good or really bad when it comes time to get parts.i would do the swap you are talking about but then do something even more rare and build the multi up to hold up to and put out 400 hp.
i had one on my gmc dump i had it was nice but make things stick in the bed when dumping .not a problem without a dump only problem using it on a deuce is you will not be able to have your troop seats down with the hoist mounted bad there.thats why i like the idea of the one jc whitney sell it...
its funny cuz some of the listing i have seen list 9.00s at 40 and 11.00s at 43 but everywhere lists 14.00s at 48a tape measure says your method is correct but this doesnt hold true on half size tires like 12.5s or 15.5s
you have to make sure you are comparing the same thing when looking at ratings breaking minimum breaking strength is way different from safe working load and different from safe lifting load.
i say go for it i put one on my truck and dont know how i did without it before.it is one of the single most useful things you could do to your truck.uses are endless.get stuck once without it and you will know why i put one on mine
i know a pto hydro is less problems .but they do use the belt drivin pumps all the time on tow trucks with very high gpm and 2500-3000psi without any problems.they run the winches and rollback beds with those type of pump .from looking at the pics i would think you could switch them.but i have...
does anyone know if the tms list the specs for the stock deuce winch cable or just list a part number for it.it would be nice if it did so you could compare apples to apples when looking for a new cable :roll:it seems most 4wheelers are going to synthetic cable but i havent seen any listed that...
to funny 800 hmmwv parts and no hmmwv to put them on.if only you could find a good use for them:?:how much is scrap rubber up to now:roll:oh wait they dont buy that
why not keep the pto for your winch and then run a belt driven hydraulic pump off the engine like the tow trucks do they seem to work pretty good and it would save you having to mess with the pto since you will have to buy a pump either way:roll: shoot you could probably sell your pto and buy...
im sure those tires dont do much for you but float in the snow it would be great on the snow caps probably float over anything .you just need some spikes on the tires :roll:you must have been freezing with that bikini top on there
anytime you are winching with a deuce you should have the hood open and a blanket acroos the cable to slow it down if it did break i have snapped several cables no damage to humans or equiptment this is where the safety factor comes in.if done correctly even a crappy cable will not hurt you or...
nice job on the pull pics look great.i pulled i dead d9 with front loader about 1.5 miles in soft ground with my deuce when i got to where it was going it was sand i dug down to the hubs .i dont know how i was about to back out to unhook the chain.i used a 1 inch chain and had about 40000lbs of...
