i got 14mpg with my duece pulling my m105 to anf from haspin last year i couldnt believe it that better than my dodge ram1500 gets empty i only get 12 with it:cry: gotta love mvs it's amazing what you can you with them with just a little tweaking:roll:
check your front u joint that will cause a t case adapter or bell housing to to break if its tight it will give a vibration that will do that everytime .it turns the driveshaft into a whip and with the weight of the t case nothing good can happen .we change 5- 10 t case adapters a year for...
hmm good question i have seen some guys notch the bed to clear the cab mount and some guys just put the bed back futher to fix that problem so i think it would depend on how you mounted the bed:roll:
ya alot of expandos leak but so do most other military boxes to fix a leak on an expandible you just change the seals to fix other boxes its not that easy :roll:plus the expadible has radiant floor heat and it has ac to where the m146 and m109 dont
i wouldnt give up on making a mancave out of a m313 since they are way bigger inside than the m146 is.the m146 is 176sq ft. and the m313 is 238sq ft opened and 136 closed and the m313 has more doors and a nice deck in the front to put your quads or mule:roll:
no a bigger hydro tank for the power unit from a frame machine they are only set up to run one 2 inch diameter 12inch stroke cylinder .and the dump cylinder will probably be a 4inch diameter 24inch stroke or bigger.air tank on truck will be fine the power unit wont use much air
ok an air op hydro pump would work great they make them for frame pulling machines you would just have to make a bigger tank for it :roll:good thinking
only way it might be possible with air is to use multipule air bags from a semi and you would have to regulate the speed the air filled the bags and have a limit strap of some kind to keep the bed from over dumping and damaging the bags maybe a set of shocks could be used to keep things going up...
an air cylinder would have to be huge to dump any kind of weight. to get the same lift capacity as a 4inch cylinder running on hydro pressure of 2000psi you would need an air cylinder that is 64 inch diameter running on 125psi
coverter wouldnt be a problem shift points can be lowered on a at545 by adusting the cable or for more drastic changes the springs in the governor can be changed. the converter is probably around 1200 stall and that would work good with a multis power range since both engine idle about the same...
it came down on the tires like we planned and it came down slowly .so there wasnt much of a crashing sound and no damage was done to it in the recovery.good idea about running the snatch block off the tree didnt think of that knowing how easy most tree come out of the ground i dont think any of...
