The cache works, but the original site seems to be gone. At any rate those seem to be decals rather than stencils. Maybe he does both? I'm looking for stencils myself.
I don't want to generate too much hype yet, I'm just feeling something out for a friend of mine.
I'm restoring The Alamo to original 1971 Vietnam-era markings. In doing so I've been dismayed to find a lack of stencil availability. Rick Larson at www.militarystencils.com seems to do a good job...
Re: RE: Action shot!
Unfortunately that's how the day ended. We cut as many roots as we could find, and dug up all around it with a tractor, and pushed on it with the tractor while pulling with the deuce.... but that thing was IN THERE.
RE: Transport Two Deuce Engines from Columbus OH to Western
Hrmmmmm..... Well I'm in Dayton, the fam is in Grand Rapids... but my little Escape won't be able to manage that load. HOWEVER I'll give my dad a call and see if him and mom might be planing a trip to visit somewhere in that timeframe...
Re: RE: I have the same problem?
I'm thinking about it. I'm leaving to go back to Dayton in just a bit, but I may pull the switch and take it with me to work on. Can't take it on the road as is anyways.
RE: turn signal fault
Yep, I know I have the multi-switch on the right setting. In fact, I tried it at pretty much every setting combination there is!
I checked all the wires around the flasher unit as suggested, no problem there.
The big thing is I DID get the flashers to briefly flash (a...
Well it turns out my brake lights don't work either, and from some putzing around it seems to be the multi-switch... So now I gotta mess around with that... blech.
Man I would love to... but I'm coming home two weekends in a row as it is, not sure I can afford another one. Plus I'd have to get the thing insured before then, and at the rate I'm going I'm not sure that will happen.
Hey all,
After church today my bride-to-be is gonna be modeling her dress for the future in-laws. As such, I have to find somewhere else to be. Anyway the natural destination is down in the barn to work on the Deuce. :D
Anyway last time I was home I had checked out all the lights, and...
Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in hot-rodding, but since I'm actually trying NOT to modify my deuce I guess I'll put it here. :)
Anyway I have a rig I want to build for running air tools off my deuce. I've heard several suggestions saying that the deuce has enough oomph in the system...
Here, found a site with some decent diagrams to show what we're talking about:
http://www.skoolie.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=324&sid=94a0d55b1df54555671f504f7a87b705
It shows both the single ring and the dual ring setup that HRD mentioned.
What he said.
The big issue is if the ring isn't seated correctly, it will slip off when airing up. Once you're aired up, it's definitely seated correctly, your worries are over.
If they were THAT dangerous they wouldn't be used. As stated earlier, many people have been using them for years...
Great advice on the jack stands, too. My brother is a FF, last summer he went out on a fatality, some guys working on a car lifted up with a forklift. :( 16 Y/O kid bought it when a $20 set of jackstands could have saved his life.
Hola,
I thought once upon a time there was a roadtrip checklist for the deuce in here somewhere?
If not, can we start one? With being military and all, I'm gonna have mine all over the country before I'm done. I'd like to know what to watch out for.
