Alright you great metal workers, I really need help. I am working on an old dump body. It has lots of rust. I cut most of it out with a saws all and grinder. Then comes the part I need advice on. The body is off the truck, lying bottom up in my garage, and it has 2" corrugated metal under the...
Mine was in the same condition and I saved the body from the cowl and dash forward. Got another jeep for parts and took the back end off it to weld onto the other one. It was a fun project. I posted some pictures a while back. Enjoy it .
I noticed that the wrecker and tractor whellbase looks the same, as the cargo trucks, but the chassis are cut off even with the back edge of the rear tires. Correct me if I am wrong.I own a M51 dump and a M 211 cargo, and I havent measured, but the wheelbase sure looks the same.Someone get a...
Never heard of them til now. Where do you buy those?I had been thinking about pulling a trailer with my pick up or the duece and was going to wire up another set of litesand plug for 12 volt and a set for 24 volt.
A while back I posted about the frozen batteries, I recharged them, but they will not crank the truck. I guess the plates warped. I put a couple of old 12vt batteries in after recharging them and the ole M211 started right up.Guess its a wasted $200.00 for the 5 month old batteries. Live and learn.
On the subject of chargers and batteries, I discovered my batts were dead and then froze solid. Took them out of truck , in house, thawed them out which took 24 hours with heater under them, put on charger, 12 volt and recharged both . Not sure if the plates warped bad or if they will work, but...

I read on a thread way back that the wheels the UPS uses would fit on the dueces. Does anyone know if this is true? I have the same situation, the tires are all weather checked, and wondering if there is a wheel that would fit. Also a question about the tires, Are the tires on split wheels with...
