My motto is: Never throw any parts out!
That motto really irritates my wife... fat lady sings rofl
I never even thought about a center seatbelt in the deuce... What a good idea! [thumbzup]
Oh yeah? try collecting railroad equipment! :cookoo:
Talk about heavy... one set of wheels and axle weigh 3 tons!
And I have a flat spot on one I'm going to have to change soon. Going to need the cranes like in the other thread.
Ok, back to the real thread.
So one of the differences...
I was wondering about that, why do the front marker lights not come on with the headlights? why is there a seperate switch position for them? I thought I had bad wiring for a little while there.
Welcome aboard Gomer!
I have a M38A1 I got for $400 and had it running that night, but it also has major body rust issues and someone hacked the fenders, ect.
If it runs and drives and is mostly complete, $1500 is fair I would say.
David, are you sure it was a m38A1? I thought they were all...
Really really want one of those now! Hey Wreckerman, if you get a whole one that works let me know!!!
Good job, that trailer looks like it is in good shape too.
You say it is in the turntable area? fire the truck up and rotate the boom a few times. Might grind them up! Just make sure you wear your suit. A smoker at the entrance would bee (get it  ) good for directing their attention elsewhere. (masks the attack pheromones.)
If you seal it up...
Hey Bjorn!
Looking good! Nice hand pump. I have 4 of those heated fuel filters but I didn't know what they were, now I do!
Question, what originally went behind the driver? storage? a rear seat for really short people?
hey... what are you doing parking that beautiful trailer on the railroad tracks!
Boy oh boy....
Awesome job on the trailer by the way! I have 5 of those PALCON containers, fixed two already. They are very nice for storage.
Sure Chris, we could at least fill the boxcar with mules, M37s and jeeps. You could fit 3 deuces per flatcar if you were creative about it...
Seriously, that is some major OD iron! That is how some of the rarest pieces survive. Hidden away somewhere until someone can get it and restore it...
I bought a nice piece of property in western SC. Very nice. Haven't lived on it yet though, just a couple of nights here and there.
It was relativly cheap, in the middle of nowhere yet not, small town only 6 miles away, larger towns with lots of different jobs 20-30min away.
Here is the site...
What if you got one of those short container chassies that sell some times and put a bed on it? make a little semi trailer, about 20ft long or so with one set of axles? I know you are looking for a cargo truck but with that short a trailer you could get into alot more places- and when you need...
