DIY Hydraulic Winch…???? a good idea or not?????

I want to put a pto driven hydraulic pump for my dump bed- but I also wanted a winch. I know they make double ended PTOs, but they are hard to find and expensive. So the thought of having the hydro pto, and driving either the bed or the winch off it sounds nice. One problem I see- unless you...

Just bought this deuce, now what do i do with it?

Gimpy, would a caddy 500 fit the tranny in a M211? If it does, I will be seriously pissed- I sold a nice running 500 a couple of years ago after it was just sitting in my garage for years. aua Keep it. I bought an M211 from GSA, and was going to sell it. But now I think I'll keep it as it is...

    WC/Power Wagon on rails

Judging from the look of those rails, there were NO trains that could make it without derailing to hit the truck. Just because it has rubber wheels on it in the photo doesn't mean they didn't take the tires off and put rail wheel rims on. There were actually sets of railroad rims manufactured...

towing a Deuce with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup

It has been done- Dad towed a M211 about 20miles with a dodge diesel 2500- not to bad, never went over 45 though. I've also towed the M211 with an M35- at 55mph about 70miles. Did just find, don't remember feeling anything except slower to get up to speed and more stopping distance. Made lots of...

    M52 fuel tank vent wanted

Mike, I know that the fuel burning heaters aren't really unique. I just thought the fact that a tractor would have one just to heat its own cab, which happens to have a very large heat producing item already protruding in it, makes that setup unique. Just set that burner up outside on the...

    Home from Aberdeen

Hey Clinto, I had to buy a program to copy it off my film based (I know, I'm living in the dark ages) video camera to the computer. I will cross it over if the program ever gets here... Sad thing is, I didn't take nearly as much video as I thought, or wanted to take.
