Looks nice but did they spray the tires grey to cover up the green overspray? Don't people know how to properly spray a rim and not a tire?.. see thread how to paint your tires and not your rims.:deadhorse:
Possum, not sure on your question although a good one to ask.. I would assume a little more stress on the bearings if the tire/rim is giving you a wider stance.. but I am not a bearing mechanic or any mechanic by any means. Perhaps ask your question on the How to Hub Flip thread.. There seem to...
Check out this pic that I found on the link below

This helped me out allot before I got myself into the potential dirty work..
You may be a little better off than I am. the 14" tires are 14.7" wide compared to the 395's which are 15.4" wide. At least that is what is on paper. However your diameter is 3" larger so you still may have the same problem.aua
Coming along nicely.. Mine bobbed already and hubs flipped when I got her, however with my 395's on stock rims I am about 2" into the frame rails underneath the trailer bed. So the tires were rubbing along those rails under the bed. For now I just cut the rails at a 45 degree angle to give...
Hagerty for $79 a year, titled as a 1952 deuce A2, agreed value coverage at 10,000. It was added on to my coverage for my muscle cars..One stipulation as it is garaged.. did it on-line.. hey find a buddy that has a garage it will fit in.. :-D. There is also a company in FL that will do it...
If you are looking for cost effective and a great look I picked up the 395's and had them mounted on stock rims which I heard is a bear to do if you haven't done it before and also can be quite dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. The guy I got them from does it all the time and...
Mine is leaking at the hoses that connect to the wheels. I noticed the brake fluid not on the ground but drip marks on the inside of the front tires. Now I just need to order the correct hoses and replace..
So I wasn't driving around at night but recently I noticed my headlights were out when the switch was on and truck was running. I had a friend watch as I jiggled the switch back and forth a little and they went back on.. That worked for a little while but now they are out completely. I assume...
Seems rough to me, I would start lower as well.. You can/should be able to get a better running one for about $3000 but not sure of your technical expertise.. I am a car guy but not a mechanic by any means.. I would spend a little more for some piece of mind.. that is unless you don't mind the...
Oh that was just what I was looking for!!! Thanks a bunch, that saves me the time of testing the difference manually myself! Thanks again gringeltaube!!!
Having some clearance issues after Flipping a hub. Mine were flipped already when I got my truck but then I added the 395's on stock rims and they are too close to the inside of the wheel well of the trailer bed. Is there a way to move the tires out just a little? I was curious if they were...
Mr. Bliss, sounds like you have about the same needs that I do/wish with my deuce. I looked at having one built and the guys out there that do it are great, however you can find a used one at a fraction of the price. I found mine for $5500 (a steal) and then added the larger tires so I am into...
CanonNinja, I agree with you seems like a waste to cut up the firetruck.. I am sure someone out there could have used it.. but that was before I bought it.. to my luck though that gave my truck the low 1,300 miles and a few accessory switches for my off road lights! :-D
