    Lift/tires M1031.

4 inch lift is about as high as you can go without having to modify the driveshaft and is plenty high. I am 6' 2" and struggle to get in, will probably add a nerf bar. The wheels are 37" Hummer H1 12-bolt's, also had to add custom made 1" spacers in the rear & 2 " spacers up front. As you can...

    M1010 Ambulance Before & After

Thanks again for all the positive comments. My interior guy does great work, very creative and reasonably priced. It also makes it easier living in So Cal since there are a lot of talented upholsterers from Mexico in the area. It also helps to speak Spanish for negotiating prices. He pretty much...

    M1010 Ambulance Before & After

Wanted to share some before and after pictures of my M1010 which I had already installed the 4 inch lift kit with H1 Wheels. I had the interior upholstered and re-painted it the same desert sand color but had my painter add a shiny coat to make it somewhat civilianized while keeping the MV look...

    towing/recovery charges

If in the end you do decide to help out and charge a fee, the best thing would be "Cash Only" and a verbal commitment that any damage is not your responsibility. That way if in the event something happens you can say that all you asked for was some "gas money". Even that can get you in hot water...

    Uses for Deuces

Yes it does help morale a lot, especially since they are eating primarily MRE's and UGR's aside from being in that **** hole called Sangin. 3/5 is the unit were 2nd Lt. Robert Kelly was killed by a roadside bomb while leading his platoon on foot patrol back in November. He was the son of Marine...

    Uses for Deuces

Used it to help our High School Dance Team collect donations so they could send care packages to members of 3/5 (3rd Battalion/5th Marines) from Camp Pendleton who are currently deployed in Afghanistan. After the event we loaded up all the packages and dropped them off at the Post Office. It...

    M35A2 Mirror Bracket/Support Question

One of the bolts or screws sheared off my mirror bracket/support on the passenger side mirror. Can someone help me with the size of this thing? Is it one long bolt or screw that runs the length of the mirror or 2 separate ones? Is it easy to replace? I suppose I can get one at the hardware...

    BlizzardX23's M35A2 Deuce!

Maybe too late but the only thing I believe you would really need are a good pair of gloves. The vibration and the cold are what get my hands when it has been cold. The holes on the floor board give off plenty of heat. Also get a nice soft cushion for your arse and lower back. Best of luck to you.

Another way to Bob a Deuce!

Awesome as always Hundy! I just hope the owner of the Tan Bobber won't have to use that spare! :-D Are you going to dive into doing a Crew Cab version?

    locking a deuce cab

In his defense, the search function on our great site "aint the best in the world". I know I , and I suspect many SS members as well, have spent hours searching for a topic without much luck. I also know that most of us find what we are looking for most of the time and only post a thread asking...

    M1010 Ambulance Picked up

I may convert it to a 12V system but for now, and since the 24V system works just fine, I am concentrating on other, more important upgrades that I need to take care of. Once I get all those tasks done I will see what else I can do or upgrade. Thanks for your comments though.
