Thank You very much sir for the quick response. On another note how many feet of cord do I need to tie it down? The cord that is present is trash and completely needs replaced.
Do I have to have the troop seats in to put the bows in and tarp on? I have the drivers side troop seat and all the bows, but am missing the passenger side troop seat, and the tarp is folded up laying in the garage and is starting to show signs of sitting that way.I really want to put the tarp...
I didn't know "Tigger" or I don't believe that I have spoke with him. From all the responses, I imagine he was a great man and a great addition to our society. I feel for his family and hope that they find peace with the time that they did have with him. God rest your soul steelsoldier.
I appreciate it VPed; I was thinking about bringing a small sledgehammer with me to "tap" the drums. I have used that method on old cars I bought before and with somewhat mixed results.
I was thinking about it today, and what should I do if the brakes on the parts truck don't release? At that point i would have paid for it,spent a ton of money in fuel, and have a limited time to retrieve the truck.I did a google earth look at the lot where the truck is being auctioned from and...
I do appreciate it guys.To pay a long hauler to pick the truck up, drive it 60 miles, drop it. Just isn't worth the extra cost over doing it myself, especially since I'm very use to this route. I drive it myself commercially 6 times a week.
DJones; Thanks, I already have the airlines and...
I'm very hopefully looking to buy a M923A2 from GL in an upcoming auction. I know that my current truck will pull it home, and I have read the manual on towing but I still would like to hear from people that have actually done this in the "real world" as composed to what is stated in a book. Yes...
Sparky; I know exactly what your saying! I think this might be a replacement switch for all 24v trucks. Might be worthy of a sticky, not just about the turn signal switch, but all oddities related to MV's
Thanks Mtnsnow; I thought I was loosing my mind! I knew I was doing what everybody told me, but it just wasn't working. I think this switch actually came of a different style truck, just to get it working. After all my truck is an 84' and the switch is a 91'
I finally got it, The switch in my truck is different. In the second picture; red arrow you pull outwards ,towards the windshield, green arrow; then rotate clockwise to the hazard "on" position. The grey circle is the bump/step on the column that stops the switch for just right turn signal...
Thanks for the heads up plode; For the wiper motor themselves, I was thinking about small ball valves to shut them down manually when not in use, but I really need to fix that leak under the dash. I suppose I won't be looking forward to this!
I suppose I'm a real complete and total idiot, but why is does it seem like there are 15 different tittles for the same manual? Mountainsnow gave me a number different than that, doghead just gave me yet a different number, my manual has yet a different number! Yes I have downloaded all the...
Doghead, the warning lights are not covered in the "hard copy" I have for this specific truck, if it is I haven't found it. I have been reading it daily for a while. I suppose I'm just an idiot, or I don't understand military talk!
Goldeneagle; I have also tried that and still nothing. I think...
Goldeneagle; I did take a piece of hose, one end to the ear and the other fishing for hissing sounds and ran that around both ends of the wiper control valves ( the best I could) and didn't come up with anything.
Porkysplace; I made look at least:mrgreen:....LOL I will do better in the future, I...
Mntsnow; I do thank you for the info, but I need more! Yes I knowaua, I have ( to my knowledge) downloaded all the manuals available and I don't have the manual specified in your response. I have turned the switch all the way up, and the tab underneath won't do anything, up,down, sideways or...
I have a air leak deep under the dash of my 84' m923 and the best way to find the leak is to pull the instrument cluster. So is there any words of advice before I embark on this journey? I tried to twist and turn my large body to find the leak but that's not happening, So this is going to be the...
