Collectin' maple sap that is. The weather kind of threw a monkey wrench into the plans. Never got above freezing this week, and is supposed to be well below zero the first part of this upcoming week. Oh well, the deuce isn't the warmest thing on earth unless I work the snot out of it or...
What if we had a time and place for us to all meet up some afternoon/evening? I like the name tag idea, except it doesn't bode well for those of us who haven't been to a SS gathering yet.
Iowa modified their laws and went into effect July of 2012. Without getting too complex and detailed, it boils down to whatever year the vehicle is, it has to meet the fmcsa rule of that year. If the fmcsa wasn't in place the year of manufacture, then the vehicle doesn't have to meet the...
I might venture up to WI from SE Iowa. We don't have too many MV gatherings or events down here. The Dodge powerwagon rally in Fairfield is about an hour and half away. Outside of that, its sparse.

One thing about the military earthmoving equipment is that most of it has been put to regular use in civilian hands. Some of those Clark M290's made their way onto farms a four wheel drive tractor long before IH, Deere and the rest started putting that much horsepower to the ground.
Hauled church youth group kids around. Several parades, one airshow, Veterans Day display in 2012 and 2013, Memorial Day escort, wedding photo prop, kid magnet, hauled people around during family outings, hauled people during a Halloween party.
Thanks for the info guys. Time to time I see some vehicles that I could use (not just mv's), but sometimes the descriptions can be vauge on one item but then super detailed on another, from the same agency. Looks like if you take into account the bastardization program on some of this...
I was curious as to member opinions about GSA auctions. Are there certain agencies that tend to be more accurate in their vehicle descriptions that others? Say a forest service being more accurate in description that say a US Fish and Wildlife vehicle? I know there are some military vehicles...
