Ahhh! The Horror of it all. Seeing that six-legged monster brings back nightmares.
I would agree with an air drawing issue. Replace every single rubber fuel line you can find. Also, replace those two tiny o-rings in the primer pump...they will cause problems too.
mcmaster.com has the hose...
No cure, sorry. Just good group therapy, but we are all enablers and we DON'T sing Kumbaya.
Nice motorpool you got going on there. I am liking your M54 and your new 105 score.
Thanks for the compliment!
The toolbox/spare tire sits on it's own frame directly behind the cab; there is no mounting to the bed. The jerry can holder is mounted to this frame and into the tool box. The bed has a lot more flex in relation to the cab on uneven terrain than this frame. The...
That is a mighty handsome tractor. The three color camo is going to spruce it up even more. That fresh DD N.I.B. is also very impressive.
I have always loved the HEMTT. I first saw them in a defense contractor magazine. When I got to active duty station at Ft. Hood I was surprised to see...

Condec...thanks for the info. While we try to unravel the mystery of this thread enjoy some pictures of these heavy haulers...

Stan,
I researched heavy logging trucks from Canada last night. Looked at many pics...especially Pacifics. I could not match the axles or the planetary hubs to anything. Pacific made a whole slew of these monster trucks to include the monster chain-driven M26. They are beautiful trucks:drool...
Looks like it might possibly be remnants of one of those behemoth logging trucks used in Canada. A Pacific or Hayes, Mack, maybe...I don't know for sure, but a good guess.
Carnac...Nice lookin' motorpool[thumbzup] Man, what sort of hoops does one have to jump through to own an M35A2 Deuce and a Half? Top security clearance, close personal friend of the President, heir to a throne (not the one out back), what gives man??? Inquiring minds want to know.
What would be involved if you changed out those smoky old diesel engines for new pair of environmentally friendly low emission genset powerplants?? Can you run it on E-85??? Oh, BTW, that's not rust...it's called iron oxide preservative.
Make sure you check air pressure in those wheels. If...
