IT also makes a great place to secure that front winch chain. I can't say enough how much simpler having the hitch on the front made putting the trailer in my back yard. When it was delivered by my friend, he had a smaller pickup with power steering and it took him longer to back it in than it...
I installed it myself. When Squirt Truck, a friend of his and myself went to recover the Radar System Trailers, we used it to maneuver one of the trailers up onto a transport trailer and it made things trivial. I was worried about trying to back my equipment trailer into my back yard, but the...
I'm not sure what a hash filter is. The 24-12 volt power converter is a large 15 amp capacity (30 amp surge) unit with a built in fuse and other features. (PST-D24/12-300 at http://www.powerstream.com/dc1.htm).
I wanted to get one of these units, but being marine rated with a battery charger...
I know several folks have CB's in their deuces. I bought a sugar scoop mount at Saturn and of course need the stand off for mounting the scoop on the bed. What sort of antenna mounts do you use and what other bits do you include in the truck for getting the CB working?

Not much rubber left. Those are going to become trailer tires I suppose...
Here's the Snatch Blocks that I bought at Colemans. They had two types. I've broken one of the 'round' type down already for cleaning and re-painting. I'm almost inclined to try to drill it for a grease fitting but I decided against it as I was concerned I'd ruin the shaft by doing so and not...
To my Knowledge Dave and Joe never turned the truck's pump up at all. I'd like to do that in the future, but, I want to get a pyrometer first and get used tot he truck before I try upping it's horsepower.
Continuing phase two of the trip to PA, I drove from where the truck was stored with the Dingo and Trailer in Hatfield PA to Reading, PA for the Airshow and then from there a 4 days later back to Atlanta.
Total miles for both up to PA and back to Atlanta was
1346 miles
Total Fuel fro both to...
You listen to Joe's dad, and it's clear Joe is an excellent 'soldier B'. He grew up crawling under the trucks to get parts or hold stuff for his dad.
That truck was a beast on the street. I'd get it out on the road, have a big grin on my face then I'd get into a tight spot or nearly run down some small car in a turn and warble back to "oh my god this is a big truck!" Driving back from Ted's trucks initially was a bear. She doesn't...
Seems like a set of hydraulically deployed spades would have made more sense both from a speed of recovery standpoint and from the aspect of already working with hydraulically actuated components on the truck. A couple of spades forwards and aft could be easily deployed.
