A M923 only has a foot longer wheelbase.. (i measured one at the haspin rally) a M927/928 would get me closer.. but I dont have a problem having the frame welded (by a professional)
in the older trucks like ours, I dont see a point to changing it all over to synthetic oils... and STAY AWAY fron amsoil!! it will eat the seals out of whatever it is in.. (on older style seals) I learned this the hard way, and tosted a NV6500 trans, and a transfer-case, and had to re-gasket the...

Oh, one more question... how much frame space did the added cab take up? (or how much did you shorten the bed)

around here.. 4-6K tops.. depending on the work needed.. just sold a CHERRY m932Ao for 7K without flinching.. but a m931 needing a overhaul (water in oil) has a hard time selling for scrap value..
reason is the military didnt allow the trucks to go over 55mph.. and most times 45mph was it... so why worry about putting 65mph rated tires on a truck that is not allowed to go that fast... plus you will learn that the truck was not desinged to go that fast... it orignally had 11.00X20 tires on...

SOME states do not require farm trailers that are over sized to have permits.. if it is for farm use, its worth checking to see if your state is this way.. Indiana is..
