Outstanding! I'll post the info for the next meeting we have. Should be after this trip, so around the beginning of next month. The club has a Facebook page too.there is also another trip to Red Mountain planned for July 22-24th. We go out on a big run just outside of Baker CA with another club...
It is a beast! And it fits perfect behind my truck. I haven't had any trouble pulling it or stopping it with a light load, but i can feel it back there.
M1008driver: good luck with your search!
Wow... I feel incredibly stupid... I'm going to blame it on lack of sleep. I completely overlooked the type of trailer, as I have a 105, not a 101... Either way i still need to swap the 105 axle for brakes and rims... Goodnight!
I am a member of a club called The Associated Blazers of California. It started in 1972 for owners of the famous Chevy Blazer who wanted to go out and have fun off the beaten path. The club nearly died about 2 years ago, but now is starting to grow again with some new members (including me)...
True. Ideally I want to swap the axle (or convert it somehow) to get some electric brakes and get another 4 matching rims and tires from my truck and then I'd be set with two spares!
Sorry I am of no help now, but I have been wanting to do the exact same thing using an axle with electric brakes so its easier to slow this heavy trailer.
Good to see you got your lift done and you are out there having fun! These trucks seem to be able to crawl up anything! I went out this weekend and helped recover a guy who flipped his razor on the side of a mountain of loose, sharp rocks. It's great hearing people say "I can't believe a truck...
Ha ha, well the bag does say that, but the seller also says it on a video he had posted in the description showing his product. I try as much as possible to buy things from American companies who make their products in America.
Since the CUCV's didn't come with license plate lights, and in CA you have to have light on your plate, I got some LED bolt lights like my buddy has on his motorcycle. I got them on ebay for less than $20 including shipping. Made out of stainless steel, and made in the USA. I just wired them...
Im pretty sure that it is the shift fork. My 208 would slip out of gear sometimes, usually when bouncing around off road. I had the t-case rebuilt when I put in the 4L80E and the nylon tabs were completely gone and the shift fork itself was about halfway worn thru the thickness of the forks. The...
That voltmeter is 24v. Is it getting any power to the wires on the back of the gauge? Check with a multimeter or test light. You will have to replace it with a 12v gauge for it to read right if the wires are getting the 12v.
I saw a post where Doghead said one of the members was hosting the...
As for the rock sliders, Peterson's did some nice ones on their M1008. I think am going to make mine the same way they did.

A lot of guys have done the spin on filter without a heater. I guess it depends on how cold it gets where you live. Being in sunny CA I will never need a heater, so I went without.
