the wire going through the steering column is probably shorted mine did the same thing .unhook the wire at the front of the truck just infront of the steering box .if this stops it youll need to change the wire or horn button
love the tip about drilling and tapping the hole with it running .ive been wanting to put a pyro on my truck but didnt want to pull the turbo to do it:roll:thanks guys
ya you will need the tps and all the sensors from the engine .computer and wiring .you can run your stock speedo depending what year the 4l80e is later set ups used a the out put speed sensor on the trans instead of the speedo you will know by the fact it has a speed senson in the rear hole not...
does it have kick down at full throttle?you could have a governor sticking or a modulator valve sticking .or even a kick down soloniod that is sticking open .that vacume seems a little low but it could be adjusted to work with that .if it has kick down its not the kick down sol. i would pull...
i would think you have weak valve spring or a burnt exhaust valve .since the duh duh sounds louder than the rest of the exhaust noise which would happen if the exhuast valve is open on ignition.it would also give you a loose of power and smoke since it would not be burning all the fuel.if an...
i have xls on my truck and i think they are great in rain and snow i can pull my car trailer loaded through 2ft of snow without even locking the front in.ive never have a problem sliding in rain either .you can sift the ndts all you want and they will still be a bias tire which is alot of the...
i like the third design just looks cooler.why not just get so xls to put on it they are way better in snow -rain - anything then if you are putting the truck in a show you can switch back to the ndts

ive done it a couple times with only slight sratches on the bumper and then another time i did it it crunched the bumper all the way back to the winch.i dont think the axles hurt the cable but you really should have some kind of roller set up onthe front of the bumper so the cable doesnt kink or...
i agree fully with rlwm211 and it is very possible and common to have more than one problem with a brake system.brakes should always be serviced as a system from top to bottom they need to be correct or you will have problems .maybe not today but it will happen .that being said if you see rust...
ya i know one of the axles is reverse rotation i think its the middle axle.the t case on those has three outputs one for the front one for the middle and one for the rear if you try to run a any other t case you will not be able to power all the axles and if you power the wrong two it will bind...
the master cylinder needs to be vented .think of a straw put it in a glass of water put your finger over the hole in the top pick the straw out of the water and the water in the straw will still be in the straw. if the master cylinder cant bring air in it cant push fluid out.you will probably...
the shut of valves for the heater look like petcocks but the are not they do not drain they are only shut offs they are not used to flush the coolant:roll:1/4 turns would be a nice improvement there maybe a cable type heater control valve would be even nicer since you could shut it off from...
