Pair of Former Water Buffalo Trailers.

Go talk to MilitaryRestoration...he had (at one time) a fuel tank trailer that was already a dually. If he still has it, that might be a great place to start on your project....

Pair of Former Water Buffalo Trailers.

I recall a PS Magazine article (or something) advising NOT to run duals on these trailers. It does not increase the capacity of the trailer by adding duals (the axle is the limiting factor I guess). It should be possible to do with BUDD caps, but other than add some more weight to the...

Thanks Ian! Looking forward to the show airing. ..and thanks for keeping the history of the truck in mind for those of us here who like to restore these old fire trucks as well.

Looks like I will need an engine/ block

Put an LDS motor in it...if you can find one, it's a great upgrade for any deuce IMO.

    Winch installation?

I've already gone through this upgrade with a few people... If you need tips, you can search my posts...or PM me. I'm happy to help if needed. It's a pretty straightforward thing if you have all the parts.

I want my first deuce soon, where do I start?

I'm a big fan of Idaho Motor Pool. I bought mine from them and it's tip-top. They do go through them pretty good before selling and make sure it's right. Plus Alex is a great guy to work with...no nonsense. IDAHOMOTORPOOL.COM

    Twin Turbo Deuce

I think it's important to keep this in perspective. The Multi was designed in the late 50s, and while technically advanced in it's day, this is *not* like a Cummins 24V. It's an old motor designed within certain parameters to be reliable (not powerful!). Turning up the fuel and bumping the...

    Deuce Muffler

I did the same, and am glad I did. It's still loud...just not painfully so. You lose nothing with a muffler on a deuce.

    MVPA Personal Network Request

I filled it out with information I was comfortable sharing. Email is fine, but no phone. Address is fine with me too (they already have it anyway). I enjoy networking with other MVPA folks and furthering the hobby in that way. I've met some great people through the MVPA and MVCCO, and wish...

    LDT vs LDS visual difference

My deuce has an LDS. No plate on the engine, PS pump removed (for clearance with the radiator), oil pan has been flipped. The only way to tell (that I could see) is the turbo being very different from a C or a D on the LDT motors. Note also that the LDS motor in mine did not have the fuel...

    m35a2 winch help

I'm not in a place where I can look at the TM right this second, but I would just double up some thinner washers if needed. Again, I didn't need them, but I had the brackets connected loosely to the frame when I dropped in the winch, so it all tightened up nicely without needing any spacers. I...
