    Neat use for a Director's Trailer, M17?

Sure, here's a website with a couple survivors posted, along with some history, mfg. specs and pics. 2 ton Directors Trailers Also, I took photos of one at TNJ Murray's in Delaware a couple years back. Kinda sad looking, but it can be saved.

    Any surplus yards in nj?

I'm not sure if junkyards are legal in NJ period. Much less MV yards. I grew up in NJ back in the 1970s-1990s and most of the yards I knew of were being pretty well litigated and zoned out of business. Most of the yards went to a "car breaker" format, where an incoming car is right away...

    hawk missile loader starter question

First, as someone who appreciates the English language, we try to use period punctuation once in a while. Sentences are nice, very powerful things. But they need to have a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence, and they shouldn't be too long before you see one of these things ==> ...

I don't think the ozone hole will be the same without the 818 of death, Speedo Man.

    Before/After M37/M101A1

I like the middle one the best with the bows and rails on the trailer. My only suggestion would be to remove (and sell) the hard top and buy the soft top for the M37. It makes it look 100% better and you always have the option to fold everything down and use it as a convertible. Nice truck...

    military warehouse trailer

Just some general pics, all around the trailer. 3dangus - the ones I am thinking about have regular tires on them, not steel wheels.

    military warehouse trailer

The one I'm thinking about has a pintle hitch and a wood bed. Actually the bed material doesn't matter, I'd be ripping it off.

    military warehouse trailer

Does anyone have any pics of a 4-wheel platform type warehouse trailer that is used by the military at any number of bases? I've seen them occasionally at GL, wondered if someone here has closeup pics so I can look it over for a potential future project. They are about 4x8 feet or so, usually...

    The ULTIMATE MV ?

Same here, motorolanut. I heard from a respected source in the computer security community that over half of the viruses and malware out there is WRITTEN by McAfee and Norton, in order for them to sell the solutions. Plus, I don't like their programs much anyways. I got ESET Smart Security -...

Experimental mule pictures - the first one?

You might be right, it is pretty rough. I attributed the bed welds to possibly being Bubba-fied over the years, But it still looks pretty odd. Here's a couple more pics, these are period photos, of possibly another early mule?

Experimental mule pictures - the first one?

Was cruising on the information supertollbooth today and ran across a closed eBay ad from March 2011, of a rare bird. Looks like one of the first mechanical mule prototypes, looks like it was a no-sale at a high bid of less than $300. I'm not sure if the seller still has it. Anyways, here's...

    XM38E * Electro-Willys

It looks interesting, but it's not for me. Part of the coolness of owning an early jeep is the hum of the L-head engine. With that missing, it's just not 100% jeep anymore. :( However, it IS a lot cooler than putzing around in a Prius or other sack-less weenie car. Kinda contradictory...

    Run a 4 cylinder on just 2?

You can, but then the problem is you are using 2 cylinders to move the inner workings of 4 cylinders. The other "dead" pistons and valves are still moving. This is called "reciprocating weight", and it is impossible to remove this from the equation without a LOT more work. So, your 2...

found a M123 in Winchester VA today...

Yes, it has 14.00x24 NDTs on it, I know for sure it's a 10-ton. I only had my cell camera with me, sorry. If you would like to speak with the owner, I can PM you the info on his business card he gave me.

found a M123 in Winchester VA today...

I think they did weld the front bumper on. And the second answer is "not that big". But I know someone here who has plenty, might be able to store for a while.
