The last pic is a mid-1960s Dodge Power Wagon ambulance body, they served in the Air Force for runway rescue/ambulance duty. Some even made it over to Europe and Vietnam during this time period. The junkyard one looks a bit rough, but here is what it looks like in its glory....
Crossing my fingers that I can go, but right now I don't know if I have the cash to do it. It would cost $300 in fuel alone to get there, and that's in the civvy truck, not to mention food, babysitter for the tyke, entry fees, etc. I'll cross my fingers if it will help, but it's awfully hard...
And the complete text of the ceremony speech, given by CW4 Larry Castagneto, who flew the Huey in Vietnam:
"As a Vietnam Veteran Army Aviator, I would like to thank everyone for coming to this special occasion, on this to be honest...very sad day, the end of an era. An era that has spanned...
Text from the article for those who can't link:

After a colorful and decorated 52 years of service to the Army, the UH-1 Iroquois (or "Huey" as it was commonly called) has finally been retired from all service duties. More info in the link.

3. Cup holder.
4. Mini-humidor in the glove box.
5. Beer cooler on the front where the winch should be.

Saw a neat M101A3 trailer at the Aberdeen show, with the HMMWV rims installed, wide fenders, etc. I forgot to take a couple pics of it. Anyone own a M101A3 that can take some closeup pics of it for me?
That 2nd one looks like some of the first shelters that were used back in the 1950s. I'm not sure if it was called a S-280 at the time, but the setup is similar.
