Welcome to the site. Sounds like your buzzer switch may be screwing up. If you've got 60+ psi on the gauge and your buzzer is still going off, it's got to be the switch.
Seeing as how a M105 uses the same wheels as a deuce, the tires are the same distance apart as they are on a deuce. All it requires to dual out a M105 is to get some bud nuts, two extra tires, and bolt them up. Of course the fenders required a little more work.
I ended up ripping all of the vinyl and foam off of the cj5 frames and modifying them to fit the M38 covers. It turned out ok but I may end up making some changes to the frame backs for cosmetic reasons. I'll take some pics and post them when I get a chance.
You need to call the GL site on base asap if you can't get it out by the 28th. They will usually work with you if you can't make it by the deadline. If you don't make arrangements and you miss the 28th deadline, they will cancel the sale and hit you with a abandonment fee. The only way to get...
There's way too much stuff going wrong in the vid where the camera guy gets hit. Fist off, the camera man is a idiot. Second, the people doing the winching are idiots for not making sure everybody was out of the way. Also there were just way too many things going on at once and too many people...
You can use the accessory drive but they are kind of scarce and expensive. If you have room you can mount the pump out the front. I did it with a deuce- http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?60514-My-latest-dump-project&p=714471&viewfull=1#post714471 . A 5-ton PTO is mounted on the other...
Just keep in mind that buying enough spray cans to paint a deuce can get pretty expensive. Spray cans is one of the most expensive way to buy paint. If you're set on using spray cans, at least do yourself a favor and get one of those pistol grip things that attaches to the top of the can, your...
I've ran diesel as much as 10+ years old before without problems, your mileage may vary. Only noticeable difference was more smoke and the exhaust has a strong smell. I'd make sure it's clean and nothing growing in it though.
I picked up mine less than 6 months old for less than $1,000. A renter owed me some money and he gave the the welder to settle the debt.
I didn't think it would hold up for the heavy stuff But I ran it for 8hrs. one day at around 125amps only stopping for lunch and long enough to change rods...
What you need is one of the inverter stick welders. They don't draw nearly as much as a transformer (buzz box) welder does.
I've got a Miller Dynasty 200 that runs on any power from 120-480 volts. It will put out 200 amps of welding current only drawing 14 amps input on 240v 3-phase. That's...
It seems to me that if you have 2 sets running at 1800rpm each, if you open the throttle to one of them more you would increase the rpm of both of them.
I'm not doubting what you are doing or are trying to say. I'm just trying to understand. Not that I'd ever have the need to parallel two sets...
It was "TB". I finally found the number and then did a google search and found the publication. I didn't save it though, I just printed off the two pages with the pattern on it.
Good vid.
I noticed at the end the text says to throttle one of the generators up if you wanted it to carry more load. First off, why would you want one set to carry more than the other and second, wouldn't throttling one up change the frequency?
I've searched the forums and the TMs high and low but can't seem to locate a 3-color camo pattern for the M151.
I'm wanting to paint my '74 cj5 in 3-color camo and the m151 seems to be the only Jeep style MV that ever had the 3-color. I figure the M151 pattern will be close enough to go by...
Well 10 miles isn't all that bad but I still bet you'll get tired of feeding that thing diesel after awhile. It also seems to be way more truck than you need for the job.
If you want a 5-ton, by all means buy one. Just don't expect it to be profitable doing what you're wanting to do.
