In the first vid, it was about 15 minutes after I ran it for about a good 15 minutes. So hot apparently means starting back up immediately. Yep, in the second vid, I hit the heat for about 30 seconds prior to starting the camera.
I had just assumed it would fire right back up. It's a learning...
I'm not sure who was bidding against me on the 003A that I got from Camp Dodge. I'm sorry you didn't get it as I paid way more than I wanted. You could've had it for $50 more.
However, after I got it fired up this morning, I no longer regret winning it. It was missing the fuel tank, and the...
I understand this is the DOT you have been emailing, but if they are only giving you yes or no and not citing code, or giving clarification on why we fail to meet the requirements for occassional use, then I'm going to go by it until a LEO or DOT officer shows me why I fail to meet it. And come...
operating a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight
rating (GVWR) specified by the manufacturer of
16,001 to 26,000 pounds, except when the operation
by the owner or operator is occasional and merely
incidental to the owner’s or operator’s principal business.
Now that is open to...
Just a note: They won't have this set in stock. They will order from the factory. It only took three days to get mine in. When I put my "new (used)" compressor on, the only thing I replaced was the front seal.
If I was less impatient, I would've tore the whole thing down and replaced...
There is a complete gasket rebuild kit including the front seal that you can get from NAPA for the Midland twin. Cost is about $20.
Part number is # RN26GV
Ditto on the NAPA part number. I didn't even use a compressor wrench, or need to hold the outer part of the sheave with a wrench. Tightened up using the back half with a BF crescent wrench. Worked good.
Forklift from the back over the ramp if you have one. Then attach a strap to the two tie downs on the side of the gen, and use a come along to pull it forward.
Not paying taxes on "what you didn't pay for" doesn't fly. Ask the senator who was given a car for transportation about paying taxes, or any of a multitude of gifting that you owe taxes on what you got for free.
If there's a way to tax it, they will.
That was my point. :) The three phase capacity must be a third higher than rated to account for the 100% duty cycle of the single phase operation.
If a person can get one running and keep it running, I believe it would handle about anything you could throw at it. Even if you didn't actually...
If I'm not mistaken, the civilian version of the 003A is 14KW or 15KW. This should be fairly evident as the single phase rating for the 003A is 10KW. When you single phase a 3 phase generator you need to de-rate to 66%, so that in and of itself indicates about 15KW on three phase.
I don't know...
You need to call Sgt Birkholtz to set up a time. I think they are available every day, but you need to call ahead to make sure. He'll need to verify you EUC is on file and pull the paperwork.
Overall, he was very good to deal with. He will leave you with the truck after he's done with it to...
