If the price of the trucks is 1 1/2 times that or double without that persons bid, then it's a moot point. Does anyone really think 200 trucks were going to go for 975$ ? If they were, I'd have bid them up and won a few.

Good point. You are really only trying to make it harder to get. The starter would probably be a good one.

I'd venture to say, they are probably stronger than the rivets.

It depends on how secure you want. Nothing is going to stop a pro, or someone that really wants it. For the casual thief, or person of opportunity, just put a keyed switch on the starter button, or under the hood or body, you could key the fuel pump.

Like Dug say, for most of us, it's not a need, it's a want. And for the price, it's sure a heck of a lot cheaper than buying the new 3/4 ton ton I want, but don't need since I already have one. Zoning restrictions? Most places it's licensed like a regular motor vehicle, no restrictions there...

They look like grade 8. Count the ticks. Grade 8 = 6 ticks.

Look like grade 8 to me. It's hard but you can just see 6 ticks. Look at the top right bolt. A grade 5 wont have two ticks opposite each other.

Where am I going to get 12v from? I'd have to rig a switch and run it off one battery. Gladhand goes on in a few seconds.

My take is, for the price they are going for, where on earth are you going to get such a heavy, overly simplified, durable and reliable truck as cheaply? OK compressors not included. For $1600 I got a truck that's rust free, solid, new cargo cover, troop seats, spring front seat, heater, hard...

How was listeneing to the buzzer? How does anyone else feel about this? I'd certainly do it if it was safe enough.

I dont have a diagram of the air system handy at the moment, so can anyone say if there are any check valves between the glad hands and the reserviors that would prevent using them to hook the air up to. Otherwise, I need to find another location.

Either way, a gasoline engine is going to be involved. I can run a generator with a small compressor, or a gas driven compressor. It's only going to run for 4 hours or so.
