I have been asked to return some F14 parts I had.....they wanted a set of wheel chocks!
On the statement on military vehilcle records, when the truck was turned in, we throw the files for the truck into the trash can.

I got my first WC54 back in 1984, yours is the 3rd one I have seen with the correct leather seats (going by the photo). The leather seats were often changed out to weapon carrier seats when they went though rebuild. You did good.
Superdave, on your WC54, if it is going to be years before...

I am hoping Oldfart will back me up on this, because we both hurt from doing things when we were young, and ....lets just leave it at young.
In the photos of you working on the motor. What are you thinking working on that motor with flipflops on? Have you lost your Marine Corps...
Grew up in Columbia, till I joined the Marines. All my folks live in Pageland and Spartenburg. I am now in North Carolina, but still make runs to South Carolina to visit kin.

The WWII ambulance, WC54 had the pintle hook, but no trailer plug.
While I was in the Marines, our fire trucks had pintle hooks also, but we were told to never tow any thing with them The pintle hook was there to aid in recovery of the firetruck. My WWII firetrucks also had pintle hooks on them...
Go back to page one and read what Charlie (from Alabama) wrote. I have stock tires on my mule and when I am turning, I can here them "cherping" from slipping. As he said "something has to give"..and if you have tires that will not slip, something in the drive train is going to. Read $$$$

Tell her to leave the dents. Ask any Corpsman or Medic how to back up a Dodge ambulance, they will say "by feel". That is how alot of the dents get into the old Dodge ambulances, you can not see anything behind you. Just back up.

I am with Chief on this, if the truck has a registration from Georgia, yes, make sure it is in the name of the guy selling it to you, just like you would do a title.
Bill of sell, no, I would not touch it. I think you can find a truck here in North Carolina or closer with the correct paper work...
We had two generators given to us to prep for turn in, we were told to cut every line and drain every thing. The guy even cut all the wires on both units. They went out as scrap. This was last year, do not blame GL for this it is the EPA for us here.

The "dip stick" part is part of the horn kit, as Clinto said, on some trucks it is made of wire, but on the M38A1 it is a long rod.
If you have pulled it out, when you go to put it back in, it has to go though a small hole at the bottom of the steering shaft. My best friend, the late MGySgt...
On one of my water cans here, we added a water spigot to the front of it. As Clinto pointed out, they are great for washing your hands.
The picture of the red jerry can with the small pecock on the side looks to be european. That pour spout (cam spout) was used on jerry cans made in europe from...
That is a water can you have. Most will have the maker and date under the carry handle, were fuel cans are stamped on the bottom (they are a very few rare ones that were stamped on top during WWII)

I had a radio station float in front of me one time throwing candy right in front of my truck, my truck at that time was a very nice 1942 CCKW. I was still in the Marines at that time, after I read the DJs the riot act, the rest of the parade they played very nice.
Have a good time, and drink...
