While I know that there have been several civilian owners who have repowered Deuces with 6BTs, Uncle supposedly did a few as well. Does anyone here own one of these or ever seen one in person?

I would be interested if it could be done in the sub-$1500 ballpark. I wouldn't have a problem with getting a pump and box from a junkyard. Hoses I would want NEW. The more bolt on (and fewer weld-in) components, the better, IMHO.

I've been eyeing the trucks coming out of Richmond. Glad to hear ya got a good one!

The Canucks had Jakes on their 800-series 5 tons, with a "bump" in the hood to accommodate, so a hood modification to make Jakes and/or a turbo fit really isn't all that non-prototypical at all. :-D Note the bump in the hood of this, um, M817? Not sure if our Neighbors to the North use(d) the...

Since I've bummed a ride, I feel that it is only meet, right, and salutary that I also offer to help out with the MKT in order to "earn my passage". Adam and I can talk trains, and it won't seem like a "chore" at all. :-)

Y'know, the more I look at this truck as well as Bolkbichs', the more I think I'd rather have one of these as opposed to a '23 or a '25!

A lot of those Camp Shelby trucks have looked like pre-rebuild junkers to my inexperienced eyes, but I am pleased to see that there's some jewels there, AND that somebody on this board scored a couple! Hope they serve you well. [thumbzup]
