wouldnt the turn signals also be the brake lights? i know blackout lights have a designated stop light and do not have turn signals. I would think if it says stop light, that would be for the blackout lights. maybe somebody with more experience will chime in soon too.
i believe the LDT and the LDS timing mark is the same. where there is a different mark for the non turbo engines and a different mark for the LDS-427 engines.
wow, thats very very nice! i always thought it would be nice to see a t-case rear PTO like on farm tractors but on the deuce. you could run all sorts of stuff off the back.... might even be competition for a unimog! haha!
mine is the same way as far as smoke. I dont have any ideas where the EGTs are though. the FDC was bypassed and who knows where the fuel is set now. uncle same did all the work on it.
so the LDS pump has different springs in the advance unit? how does that play for power and EGTs? does it make...
what is the difference with the LDS pump? My LDS in my M109 has that pump on it and it runs crazy faster than my LDT. The tamper proof cover is still on it, so i think the fuel rate should still be ok.... but it what a runner... WOW!
what are the going prices for them? i was also thinkin about just getting different fenders when i decide to paint mine.... seems easier than doing body work if they were not too expensive.
how much are would a trailer chassis in that picture be worth? they must have different axles than the M105 trailers, correct? Obviously this trailer frame in the above picture has duals where the M105s are singled., but thats not what makes the rating different, is it?
Here is the picture looking through where my govenor shaft bolts on. The little arm that goes at the bottom of the torque arm is what i have a qestion on. how freely should that piviot on the torque arm? when i tried to move it thinking it would just swing freely, it did not want to budge much...
I pulled off the FDC last night and looked in there and the torque arm i think its called really flops around in there. i fired it up with the FDC removed and it fired up great! just hit the button and fired right off. what i dont understand is the part that connects the torque arm to the...
how hard is it to seperate the different parts of the injection pump? I am talking about taking the HH section off from the advance unit and removing the govenor portion to inspect for problems. I have had govenor problems or advance unit problems and would like to take things apart to see what...
i think its just regular chassis and bearing lube.... Napa will have the stuff. going to need a lot of it. Do a search for knuckle boot grease, you will come up with all sorts of threads.
I see you are new, welcome to the site. be sure to introduce yourself in the "new member requirements" forum.
I read the LDS Troubleshooting manual, and i see the field way of adjusting the fuel settings by judging how much boost the turbo makes. If i take off the FDC from the IP, will i be able to see the govenor weights and springs inside there or no? My goal is to look for broken govenor springs or...
i think they pop around 3050-3300... have to check the manual to be sure. i had a couple bad injectors in my truck and i swapped in some take out ones.... it definately runs smoother than before. now if i could figure out why it idles at 800 rpm pointing down hill and only 650 when it is...
im real tempted to swap in the LDS from my 109 into my M35 but dont have the lifts and big equipment to do a job like that.... i'd love to though!
