That was my 1009 Warthog picked up. He didn't mention that the adjusting tube between the tie rods was rainbow shaped instead of straight. Not sure how they did that one.
There will be at least 2 VINS on the frame. One will be obvious and one will be hidden. Not sure of the location of either but I'm sure someone here will know.
There's a bunch of them at one location with 2 red(pink) ones and a couple of white ones. Several of them say they've been reconditioned so I'm thinking they were at an overhaul site when the word came down to dump them.
Thanks. I had a problem last time I tried getting into LOGSA but there are a couple of other sites that have the TMs.
I was just curious about anyone who has used them. I'm planning on running the duct work through an extra dog door I have in the shop. Since I'm in TX I don't need heat a...
CARNAC is absolutely right. When you get the copy of the policy handbook read what the definition of "Your Insured Auto" is and then go to the "Exclusions" page and review it as well. A lot of guys say they have a Progressive Auto Policy but when I worked for Progressive the Auto Policy had a...
Anyone know anything about these heaters? I picked up 3 of them - one for my shop, one for spare parts, and I guess one spare parts spare.
Most of the ducting is trash but I think I can piece one whole set together from all three.
No move, no address change, no cell phone, 8x11 color copy of my DL, etc, etc. It has me utterly baffled. Seems like it has the girls on the Live Chat baffled also because they seem really apologetic about the delays and physically checked that the docs were there. Someone is asleep at the...
Well I do follow up with them immediately and I've followed up 3 times since and have been told that the EUC dept has my documents. The Live Chat person even put a note in the file and contacted a supervisor but it's still in "submission pending" and I still got the nasty gram saying I needed...
Geez Man! If I knew you were going to turn a good Army vehicle into a Jarhead one I wouldn't have sold it:-D Just joking with you, but didn't all USMC vehicles have that big red bullseye painted on them?
Well the wrap up to the story is I helped Sarge and Rory pick up Sarge's new Clamshell Shop trailer yesterday (wait until you see the thread on that) and sold my M1009 to M813rc (Rory). Luckily I also picked up another 1009 up in OKC and if the EUC will ever clear I can get that. Trouble with it...
I put 2000 miles on mine in the last 2 weeks - 1100 of it in 2 days - stone cold stock with no floor mat either. I actually just sold it but the next one will be the same only with an A/C kit in it. What's the fun of making it like a new vehicle? Might as well drive a SMART car if you're...
Well here's my situation:
You are now chatting with 'Meredith'
Meredith: Welcome to our live chat service! How may I assist you?
Mark Coen: Hi Meredith. I chatted with you last week regarding a pending EUC and you confirmed that my docs were there and they were in the EUC dept. Later in the...
There's a guy in Victoria,TX that drove a CCKW up the ALCAN highway and back. I'm sure if a 60 year old truck can make it a deuce could. Of course I'd vote for the barge to Seattle. Whether IT could make it or not, I'm not sure I could.
I don't know if you can contact them but the Marine Reserve Tank Unit in Yakima, WA has one for a gate guard that they brought back from the first Gulf War. They might be able to take measurements for you. I haven't been closer than 50 yards to it but next to an M1 it looked like a Matchbox Toy.
Trans dipstick should be on the right (passenger side) of the engine next to the fire wall. My stick broke and I picked up a Turbo 350 stick from the local speed shop. The stick is the exact same but I don't know about the tube (and it's chrome which makes it hard to read).
If the tube is gone...
