I got one in Little Rock that the EUC just cleared on. I've decided to sell it where it is for what I paid if anyone is interested. It's in the classifieds.
I feel kind of stupid not knowing what things are but it's just to the right of the distributer and on the left side of the doohickey with the three bolts on top. There appear to be 2 outlets and the one on the bottom appears to be missing a hose.
They've gotten kind of sticky about letting folks work on vehicles in the yard. I think it came down from on high not to allow it any more (or maybe it was Sarge, Rory, and I making the lot guys miss lunch on his last recovery:-D).
The oil was fine other than needing changing (very, very...
Forgot the picture of the engine. I'm not sure if you can tell what's missing or not. It's pretty much bottom center of the photo. Hopefully someone a little more knowledgable of the deuce can ID it.
Okay, got out and looked over the truck (wound up with a flat on my 1009 while there). Batteries are deader than dead so couldn't start it. The lot guy was busy helping someone else and also there's no slave outlet. Appears that 5 or 6 of the tires are fairly new. Overhauled in '86. Everything...
Same thing for me. I got a 1009 in OKC and a M101A1 trailer in Little Rock and from submission to invoice was less than 5 full business days. Don't know what lit a fire under them but I'm happy.
There were actually 2. One had one arm broken and the other seriously bent and then there was one truck with only 1 arm broken. I'll go down tomorrow and look yours over for you and try to give you an idea as to what you might need.
Where are you coming from?
I'd be happy to help (just for lunch - no payment necessary). I don't know that much about the deuces but I know the yard guy. Which truck did you get? It wasn't one of the ones with the broken trailing arm was it?
What is this specifically? My guess it's some type of reduction gear to adjust for different tire size. My 1009 lost the one it had when it was relocated with a forklift. How much will not having one throw the speedometer off?
You had to say "jinxed." Now I've got a steady class 3 fuel leak coming from somewhere around the fuel pump. It's losing about a pint every 3 hours. There is also a class 3 at the torque converter output shaft. I should have replaced the seal when I had it out but figured it was a NOS unit...
No pictures but it's right in front of the air cleaner. There will be 2 vacuum lines coming in from the passenger side. There is a 3/8 bolt a little behind the top of it and another that you can get to from the passenger side through the intake. You don't need to take the bolts all the way...
Turns out that's what was wrong with mine. It had been pulled all the way forward as far as it would go. The bolts were tight so it's not like it could have been bumped that way. I pushed it back about half way but now it's shifting a little too smooth. It is hard to tell when it shifts into...
This is the first time I've been high bidder on more than one item requiring an EUC in the same Event.
Since both items came through on the same invoice do I need 1 EUC or 2?
Okay, here's where the stupid questions start.
I pulled the gov out and the teeth on the gear are nice and sharp. Now what is it supposed to do? The only moving part I can find on it are the 2 flaps at the end. The gear doesn't move and nothing in the body moves. I am a total transmission...
I've looking through past threads and the TMs and can't seem to find reference to my problem. My transmission will not shift PERIOD. I checked all the vacuum items and only found 1 that I had to replace but still no shift.
I just got this 1009 and had to replace the transfer case after...
