The suppression system has no engine performance difference over the std system.

the typical M880 series truck had the normal cap & wires.

So the truck had a blank data plate?
The plate shows the vin as an 87 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd
yet it doesn't look re-stamped, hand stamped sure.
a look at the dash tag is important here.
Only one pump in the trans, which is turned by the torque convertor and creates the pressure for operation.
again a trans should run 200°F under normal conditions, 250°F if your working it. 300°F is too hot.

Just get a new one from the parts store.

The M880 cooling system uses the civie W200 with air conditioning componants.
