Are you talking about 1st gear or low range? If it is 1st gear there is something wrong with the tranny if it is low range the linkage may be out of ajustment. Mine does both fine and I have not seen this problem unless there was damage to the truck.
Have you tried Fastenall? I get all my grade 8 from them they are a chain: We have a few stores nearby let me know if you need me to pick them up for you.

Only 65 days till Aberdeen if you are coming please lets get a list posted if there is one. I would really like to know how many of our Steel Soldiers will be there even if it is for a short visit. I will be there with at least two maybe three of my four children the duece a trailer or tent or...
Has anyone put in gauges to show real values of oil pressure and temperature in a CUCV? I am desiring to do this for ours and would like some ideas on mounting and source of supply for the MILSPEC gauges or if I can just use COTS 12 volt ones from the parts store.
Looks like she likes her new home now all she needs is a don't mess with Texas sticker to make her a native Texan like my youngest daughter. Hope she gives you great service and if you are looking at doing something with the M 200A1 let me know I converted mine to a dolly convertor.
Jon:
Great pics and write up what a treasure. I want to see some holes in the desert soon. With the current energy crisis you could do bussiness putting in poles for wind generators. I know what you mean about the respect you have for your duece pulling that truck. My duece did a nice job...
Is it possible the boot is on upside down and that one guy fastened them expecting the rubber to be cut out to show them on the other side and then some other guy installed the boot without regard to what he thought the plates were? At any point the good deal is your gain very nice to find them...
Thanks for the battery ID I will check with the PX gas station to see if they can order one for me. Since you are so close I would love to get together sometime I hope you are going to be at Aberdeen since I have two spaces there this year.
RE: Re: Bought a M35A2 need to get it home
We hauled dueces all the time on M 872 trailers and pulled them with our M 915's the truck will also fit on an M 871 or even my M 127 if you reduce the truck by lowering the windshield and take the stack off you would never hit any bridge. We did not...

I really don't like getting cold anymore something about being over 50 I guess but I always take more clothes than I think I need when traveling in the yankee grass season. For one thing if I am driving the duece like going to Lakehurst in January to pick up my M127, I had polypro long johns an...
Woo Hoo!
That's Great news Jon I am sure you will have a ball working with that auger. I am glad you are home safely and we hope to see some action videos of that truck working the earth.
considering the price of copper I expect to pay more for any real copper radiator. Might be a good cottage industry to go into making custom aluminum ones.
NickD has a great one in his duece it has a bracket on the dash that brings the clamp out away from the dash and it fits really nice just to the right of the shifter. That bracket is not in the kit shown in the web site you listed.
Wow praise the LORD another safe trip!
That is great that you got the truck home and are safe. I always park my duece and stretch out in back with a sleeping mat and arctic bag and even in the single digit temps did not get cold. I do agree the cab is a windy and hard place to stay in cold or...
It is 60 Hz and If that was 300 pounds I am going to have to get back to going to Ballys because I had to use my crane to load it into the back of the duece and it felt more like 500 pounds than 300. At any rate the thing is in beautiful shape I think it just came out of rebuild and went into a...
There are tags attached like that for MWO's which are Maintenance Work Orders something like installing seatbelts or antilock brakes or adding a brace to a weak part of a frame. The depot rebuild is a complete restroration to like new condition. It is interesting to note that while I was in...
It seems money can do a lot to get you what you want but in the end it will end up on ebay. The records for all M 113's produced should clearly prove the story and I don't think it would be hard at all to prove this guy right or wrong. It would be a nice toy to own though.
