Self made RAT Rod! Rats have been bad here for about a year! They love CUCV's too!

C/K Radiator.. is there a difference???

C30 is a 2 wheel drive 1 ton, while a K30 is a 4 wheel drive 1 ton. Radiators should be the same. Look for a four core(4 rows of tubes running horizontal) radiator for increased cooling.

    fuel delivery

I agree Rich, I always use AC DELCO fuel pumps. They pump better and last longer.

    Diagnosing the DB2 pump

There is a check valve that screws into top of the injection pump. Make sure it is not restricted or stuck open. This is not the same as the electric solenoid.

How long does fuel stabilizer last??

I would not try to store bio diesel for ANY length of time as it will attract water into the tank or can. ULSD will last a long time but still needs some kind of lubricant or additive to protect the injection pump and injectors.

    Diagnosing the DB2 pump

I would make sure the filter and fuel lines are staying fully primed and not sucking air somewhere. See if the check valve is working on top of the injection pump.

running rough after warming up, with bizarre symptoms some help please

Is it possible that you have gotten some bad diesel, maybe with some water in it? If a new filter let it run a lot better for a few miles and the diesel is bad it may have clogged the filter again. I would fully check this out before I replaced the injection pump.

    very hard shifting into 4L

Try stopping on level ground transmission in neutral. Now kill the engine and shift transfer case firmly. Shifts without grinding this way in and out of low range. There is a grease zert on the shifter pivot on the 205 case also.

Striking hardened Steel on hardened Steel is a bad idea.

Sorry about your accident. I would like to recommend you get some UDDERLY SMOOTH body cream and keep it on your wound until it heals. It was developed for dairy cow udders but is safe for humans to use also. It is available at WALMART and some of the other big name pharmacies. It will keep you...

    M1008 Wont Start/Need Some Help

If you are not getting any reading of current at the ignition switch you have a failure somewhere between the 12 volt diamond on the firewall and the ignition switch. Fusible link or lost connection where you have already cleaned harness passing thru firewall or a break in the wire somewhere...

M1009 Electical Bizarro Problem - Need Guidance and help...!

I would suspect the fusible link that feeds the ignition switch or the ignition switch itself. I am not talking about the keyed cylinder but the electrical contact ignition switch mounted underneath on the column. The wire that feeds this switch is located on the 12 volt diamond on the front of...

    Miller big blue 400P failure

You might check the wiring from the alternator to the exciter rotor. The exciter rotor gets it signal from a hot post on the alternator.

    Most Common Rods

#1 High amp AC for thicker metal. #2 Low amp AC for thinner metal. #3 DC+ current flows from rod to grounded metal, usually preferred setting for most rod. #4 DC- current flows from grounded metal back to rod, sometimes tubing that is magnetized welds better on this setting. DC produces a...

cucv mirror mount for cb antenna and cube lights

Really slick idea for a mount, but I would be concerned about the added stress it will put on the thin sheet metal brace that is inside the door at the top. I have had these fail from the weight of stock mirrors alone as they have aged. Good luck!!

No Rusty, I bought it from someone else that had purchased a lot from GL. I don't remember ever seeing any listed on GL myself.

    Ready Welder

I have never seen this thread either. I saw some of these for sale about when this was first posted I'm guessing. Anyways they were complete military versions in really nice cases that had never been used. I purchased one because it looked like a good deal for the farm. It came when I was really...
