I can't thank SCRancher enough for not only selling me one of his MKT's but actually delivering it to me.
Thanks Stan. You have to stay in touch.
I know, I know, PICS
I'm the old guy on the left
Stan showing me a small hole on the side - might want to patch that, LOL

Even IF you choose to rebuild the K30 (you got that at auction last summer, right?), are you going to use the red lights in the grill and on the top?
if not, I'd LOVE to buy them from you. If you are interested, send me a PM
I bid on that truck and I believe it had a companion truck in the...
1009krawler,
if you don't mind a couple of questions
you added a 6.5 turbo - what boost were you running?
AND even though you added the turbo
the only thing that blew were head gaskets?
the reason I ask I had a civi 6.2 with the Banks and I blew the rear main seal
OK, OK, you cracked the...
If you can make this - and keep the over all cost at or below $1000 you will sell lots of them
aluminum vs steel
I would imagine it is actually a cost vs weight factor
the aluminum will be lighter, but probably cost more
the steel will be heavier, but be cheaper
so - your trade - off will...
I had a buddy of mine who did this back in 1976 with one of the original Civvy trucks just like this. He put the filler spout up under the wheel well. If you didn't look closely, you could NOT see it.
I'm seriously considering this for my M1028A2. Thx for the pix
drive up to Seattle
board the ferry with your truck AND trailer
ride the ferry through the inside straits to the destination CLOSEST to where you need to go
get off the ferry and drive a short distance to your destination
my brother did this with his family in his large truck, towing a 20 ft...
it's a good start but I suspect to hold the weight that will be put on a rack, those arms are going to need to be a bit more substantial
love to see what you can come up with for arms along this idea line - I liked that the design as it was shown allowed for it to be run with or without the top...
MORE great ideas
THANK YOU FOLKS
and I hope OTHERS have a different way to fix it...
thanks - my mirrors are tight, but it never hurts to have this little trick in your bag
I've got TWO sets of those BURB seats... in my 91 GMC Burb
I recovered them and added my logo to them and yes they are very comfy
I FLAT LOVE what you've done with this beast
have you replaced the TIRES yet?
With my first M1009, I felt there was something SERIOUSLY wrong with my front...
I just got off the phone with Ed at Aspen Water. He's going to get me contact info for Karcher (Kassel?) in Germany.
They do MILLIONS of dollars worth of business with them every year. Currently they are supplying African troops with these TFK-250's from Germany for UN duty.
I will post more...
I live in Keller, so we are close. I would LOVE to have you and ANY of your friends or SS members come on down.

God I love Texas
My M1028A2
My M1009
no plates run - no plate light needed - no inspection sticker needed and no inspection necessary
can I use them as a daily driver? no, but I've got three trucks and I can and do alternate their usage, but MAINLY I love driving my Suburban - it's got...
OK, time to put up or shut up. AND if you knew me, shutting up is literally impossible so I guess I gotta go with my idea of a military vehicle collector club in North Texas. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/76972-i-am-going-start-my-own-mv-club.html
I have just moved from Denver...
I've used LMC trucks floors MIP and they are OK - though a note of caution, they need to be laid out IN THE SUN for several hours and let all the fold marks from shipping lay out and soften up
otherwise it won't look right
Also YOU WILL have to trim it a little around the edges AND around...
you will also find that you will need to fill a bunch of small bolt hole, screw holes, etc in the floor and/or firewall prior to adding the sound deadening material, otherwise those spots will go soft - ask me how I know this one
OH, and you can get commercial rubber backed floor mats...
73 - 91's?
yes perhaps earlier models, but I have owned several of these and they all have the same length rear springs - I believe they are 58" between spring perches - at least that's what I have found over twenty years of owning these silly beasts
but I could be wrong about that.
military seems to agree with me
and how did I get that price? I called the Interstate distributor in the Colorado area and asked them how much. Like I said, because I purchased six, I got a fair discount, but my distributor has sold them to me in PAIRS for $250 plus tax... don't know where...
