    Anyone tow with their deuce?

Hey Ryan...you got it! Hooked it up today and snapped a couple of pics. It's ready to haul but still lacking front leg, a form of braking, wiring and I'm on a slow road to have it drive...but that may still happen someday. I made the tongue just a touch longer so it would track and back...

    Alternate spare tire stowage/mount suggestions?

How about slapping it on the passenger's side running board with a nice OD green ratchet strap, acknowledg the fact that you can't use that door, and call it a day knowing that you're done and not fabbing some mount to put a 300# tire and wheel way up in the air. Poof, your done. *after...

    Mud bogging the stock deuce

I'll bet a hundred bucks that it take more than two 4x4's to pull you out!!! There is NO WAY stock gummies and 14,000Lbs, no traction aids is gonna make it. Two feet deep and you won't make it. ...take video though-- :D

    Anyone tow with their deuce?

Haha...yeah. I guess I have almost 5 now. Those three, then with Blue being almost one and a half truck by weight and the big dumb trailer being a little more than half.. :D

    Torque rods

And don't forget has a tapered fit so it sucks in like a ball joint. Some jerk must have hung on the gun when they put mine in. :(

    Deuce winch parts needed... Ooops!

RE: Pics for the visually stimulated... Nice pic- Your buddy owes you about $300-$400 bucks. Do yourself a favor and when you respool that cable on, cut about 75' off of it and throw eyelets and two-three cable clamps per end and have a nice tow/extension cable. With a full spool, usually...

    Two more rescued!!

A temporary repair for those links would be to take a really sharp chisel and chisel a groove across the remains of the outer part of the bushing still remaining in the link. Once you cut a groove a cross that (sawzall would work too) then it can be collapsed and taken out. The link will then...

    Anyone tow with their deuce?

I just towed these trucks to the farm...my 'truck farm,' I guess. :) My deuce truck pulled really well considering an over 32,000Lb combination. Never got below 45 highway and ran a pretty steady 57-58mph. Small grades didn't pull me down much and larger ones would pull me to 50mph then...

    Torque rods

I tried to change out my upper ones and busted a breaker bar, extension, and socket. Will use heat next time and hopefully not have to take off spring pack. :(

How fast do you drive your Deuce?

Here are a couple of pics I shot today of the 225hp 1160 V8 CAT (nearly same engine as 3208) in my deuce truck "Blue."

How fast do you drive your Deuce?

    http://www.ringpinion.com/Calc_RPM.aspx Randy's Ring and Pinion. 6.72 (R&P), 46.5 (tire), 60mph, 0.79 (5th gear OD) = 2302rpm. 63mph would end up being just a fuzz over 2400rpm.

    DT 466 International motor ?

RE: Re: RE: DT 466 International motor ? Don't forget the DT-466 is also in-chassis rebuildable, a big plus if ever needed.

    Deuce Brake Issues

Another bleeder that I've had success with is to use a low pressure 3-5 or 5-7 pound electric fuel pump and plumbed that into the vent line atop the master cylinder and force fed bled the system that way.

How fast do you drive your Deuce?

I have stock 900's on my truck. My speedo is off by 4-5mph so says the roadside radar display signs. 49mph on the clock is 54. Recently I've had some highway time on my truck. Ran it at 55mph on the way to get the load and actually ran it faster by 2-3mph on the way back as with the 14,000...

    disk brake conversions parts

Pardon the paraphrasing...but I have a question. Are they still trimming the wheel studs with a blow torch and leaving all the slag on it? Regardless, it sounds as if their QC and BS is still as good as it has always been-
