A temporary repair for those links would be to take a really sharp chisel and chisel a groove across the remains of the outer part of the bushing still remaining in the link. Once you cut a groove a cross that (sawzall would work too) then it can be collapsed and taken out. The link will then...

I just towed these trucks to the farm...my 'truck farm,' I guess. :) My deuce truck pulled really well considering an over 32,000Lb combination. Never got below 45 highway and ran a pretty steady 57-58mph. Small grades didn't pull me down much and larger ones would pull me to 50mph then...

I tried to change out my upper ones and busted a breaker bar, extension, and socket. Will use heat next time and hopefully not have to take off spring pack. :(

Another bleeder that I've had success with is to use a low pressure 3-5 or 5-7 pound electric fuel pump and plumbed that into the vent line atop the master cylinder and force fed bled the system that way.
