Hey, how's ole Tom@snakeriver doing these days? Still selling Goat to 715 adapters and other stuff? Haven't seen much of ya since I dropped of the 'zone.'
Try and get the pump or if they're both Saginaw pumps, pull the outlet fitting, pressure valve and spring all out of the original H-Max pump. I found that pump to have more pressure and flow then a 3/4 or 1 ton pump. *most* of the ones I had found ran seperated systems for brake and steering...
RE: Hydro-Max Brake Assist (long read)
Just a quick update on my Hydro-Max brake system...was a little surprised not to hear from a couple people about this updated system so thought I'd follow up. It is working absolutely flawlessly and I could not, in any way, ask for it to perform any...
Good thoughts- Nice control panel. Bjorn, if you build another truck you could maybe just start with a Cessna aviation control panel so all the switches and light would be there already :)
Disc brakes on the deuce Rockwells is a popular conversion due to the availabilty of them, toughness, and ability to be swapped into other vehicles for offroad use. Generally you have two choices for brakes; Pinion brakes or wheel brakes. Stock drums are removed due to weight and the fact that...
I think that torque rating is actually a little high going by the original spicer numbers, from what I've been told. I believe that like everything else they're quite under-rated. Here's an example of the durability of these trannies; my V8 CAT is 225hp and 636 cubic inches. I found where a...
RE: Armor near Harrisburg-there
Yep, it's an equipment dealer south of Dillsburg, between Mechanicsburg/Camp Hill and Gettysburg. Seems like a couple of years ago the armor started appearing. Used to drive by there a few times a week.
Hey that's neat Bjorn! Mine won't be as impressive as I'll just have to aim the mast and spool it in. I could use mine like a fishing pole where you'd pull up then spool in as you lower, them pull up...
RE: Hydro-Max Brake Assist (long read)
Good call Gimp...I hung a pedal. Got the pedal assembly from the International S1700 the booster came from. I made up a mount that bolts onto the stiffener between the firewall and dash at steering column. Reinforced it all with angle iron top and...
RE: Hydro-Max Brake Assist (long read)
Your's is more complicated because it goes thru some other things in it's factory form. Mine is pump, booster w/master cyl and return to pump. Here's some pics-
RE: Hydro-Max Brake Assist (long read)
I'll have pictures up in a couple of hours. I ended up finding a nice York air conditioning pump, the kind that are easily converted to onboard air systems, and mounted that where the old compressor was. Don't have it plumbed yet but that will give me on...
If you've not heard of this, don't feel bad. If, however, hydro-boost rings a bell then you're on the same page. :) Can't sleep so thought I'd post (will post pic some point today) about a project I've been working on. I pretty much expect some 'flaming' about this but I think I'm well...
Now's a better time to buy them anyway...YOU CAN GET A WHOLE TRUCK WITH THEM! :)

I borrowed one of the above pictures and circled a very specific are of it that notes inportance. On the other PS thread I posted about tapping the box on my big M715 for ram assist. The box I ported didn't really have bosses cast into it for that but this box that gringeltaube has posted...
