I've got a leak that's been giving me fits for some time now. All indications say it's a front main leak but one. The one problem is that the front balancer is as dry as a bone. The front seal is above and slightly inside the back edge of the balancer. One would think the balancer would at least...
In the vid I can't help but noticing that you're stomping the clutch pedal hard. There's no reason to push in that hard and fast. Also when you shift to neutral and let out the clutch you are doing it really fast.
You need to relax and slow down a little. There's no reason to "snap" the clutch...
First thing I'd do is pull the pan, pressurize the cooling system, and find out where the water is coming from. After you determine that you can figure out what you need to replace. Replacing a piston and sleeve in a NHC 250 is very easy if you have any mechanical skills at all. You will need a...
I think your figures are off a little. A good weld has around 70,000 psi depending on what wire you use.
Personally, I'd weld it. Either your machine isn't set up right or you need more practice or both. Do you know anybody close that could help you out? If I was closer I'd be glad to weld it...
I pulled a pan off a deuce that looked just like that recently. That's as far as I got and just pulled the engine. The funny thing is the thing was still running. Knocking hard but still running.
I've got both. The 5-ton is the work truck and the deuce has been converted to the play truck. I'd still rather drive the deuce though for some reason.
This is the only MV forum on the web where a deuce would be considered a "small" truck. :)
The truck I see is definitely a 5-ton. Extra space between the front axle and back of fender and the winch has a level wind. Also the dropside bed has the short section up front that doesn't drop.
When you turn the fuel up a naturally aspirated (non-turbo) engines, you won't gain much but more smoke. You really need a turbo to have any noticeable gains.
Adding a turbo on NHC 250 comes with it's on problems also.
Yea, there's one little bit of info that will give you fits on the drivers side if you haven't read the TM or are familiar with changing tires on big trucks. ;-)
After you change a couple of tires with a breaker bar, you'll want a impact real bad. Removing all the tires on a deuce is murder...
Even a fairly small limb can kill you. It's best not to even enter the woods when it's windy. Too many dead limbs and such just hanging there ready to fall. I do go in the woods when it's windy but I'm constantly looking up at the treetops for hanging or dead limbs before I walk under them...
I've titled a couple of 5-tons in the last month or so. I always get a sf97 from GL. The sf97 always has the same info that I submit when applying. More times than not, the description in the auction listing is wrong on the trucks I've bought when it comes to VIN numbers.
