Pulling one wheel from the duals

Just drive it on the blocks, and remove the outer, 1&1/2" nut. Remember! Left side is left hand threads & right side is right hand threads - it even says that on the fasteners. Best to familiarize your self with the TM. Your going to find those lugs are on there "TIGHT". They need to go back on...

    5 Ton Winch on Deuce?

RE: Re: 5 Ton Winch on Duece? No one particular winch is the answer, 100% of the time. Any winch will be a compromise, and most importantly, no winch is "Fool Proof"! Your original stock winch, with a couple of snatch blocks & chains...... Well, you know the story. A bigger winch is just going...

    Deuce Front End Alignment????

RE: Re: Deuce Front End Alignment???? "Do you jack the entire front axle/tires off of the ground when you adjust this? What bolts/etc do you loosen/tighten to fix the toe-in issue? Is that the only thing that I need to adjust?" Daniel, Toe-in, is the most likely adjustment necessary...

    Detroit diesel , 92 series, 8V in a 5ton

I think that 92 Series would do you a good job. It has all the potiential that you need for a 5 Ton. You can run it easy enough, to 2500 RPMs without doing anything extra. Mine is rated at 475 hp, but you can also increase the injector size. Doubt that you will need to. Not sure you can fit in a...

    Heat and Hubs?? Pics!!!!!

Adjust your brakes. They must be dragging, to heat things up that much, in such q short little drive. The trans & T-case are hot because of the brake drag. Test: Get truck rolling a couple of MPH on level ground - push in clutch - truck should coast for at least a couple of feet. Jack up a rear...

    Who is,DOT Legal,Pulling a large trailer w/equipment

RE: What is,DOT Legal,Pulliig a large traier w/equipment It will depend on the laws in your State. Give you DMV a call. In this State, there is a commercial license, that allows for , "for hire". I have "farm " tags" that allow me to haul, but only my own stuff, and not for hire. Lee in Alaska

    winch

Winches are around! If you don't get a bite here, check with the MV dealers. All trucks should have a winch, just in case you get stuck, when you go to town for chicken. Lee in Alaska

    Winch

No electric winch will come close to comparing with a PTO drive winch! The 8000# Brayden winch on my M37 will pull your electric one above, out by the roots. The 12,000# of pull that you speak of is virtually a stall speed on the bare drum, first layer of line. That is the melt down speed -...

    M37 experts

The fuel pump has probably been swapped out too. It would take a lot to put it back, even close to original. Depends on what you want it for. Lee in Alaska

    hiding the winch

I put a PTO winch back under where the spare tire would go, in one of my old International pickups. When using it, one has to be real careful about the line, that it doesn't become tangled. A set of fairleads for it is imparitive. If you have hydrolics availiable back there, not sure that you...
