I use a 5FT aluminum stepladder, keeping it folded, and set the tailgate to the flat (porch) position with the chains. Then the ladder rests against the edge of the gate with one of the tailgate handles slightly protruding through the ladder. I fasten it there. now there is a nice set of steps...
My second attempt to buy a deuce that happened to me. I went to look at it, and it was really nice but has low oil pressure and was making a strange wheezing noise that increased as you gave it more fuel. I was concerned, but after some thought willing to buy it anyway, and told the guy i'd need...
yes.. those North of Houston could stage at an apporpriate locations and join as you come through. It's a long drive to the park, convoy woud be good for safety.
little 640x480 pictures when you run 1600x1200 display is heck on the eyes, but it comes down to server storage space on SS I imagine. Not a complaint, only an observation. Considering the posts, the images take up alot of space, so the size is restricted.
the digital pixelated camo is good also, because in sufficient density it can appear as noise to a sensor. now that the eye is not always the primary sensor in the battlefield, we move to patterns to trick computer vision systems.
if the bolts were previously used, then they may have been stressed unduly by the tighening the second time as well as whatever was done with them on the ford. But I agree according to the images, the stresses on those bolts is unacceptable, you may wish to do as suggested and have dial pins...
It would be very helpful to see pictures of the flexible exhaust and mounts, please share them! I'll look for the compression relief.
In the meatime here is some more progress, it was warm enough to work today.
The design of the saturable reactors is somewhat of an art ? I am always hopelesly lost in the math in those fascinating books. My WWII veteran friend tells me that he used to work on the mag-amps that rotated the turrets on battleships. Apparently a bank of 6L6 vacuum tubes tube was the control...
I'd like to have one of those chargetek units but this one cost me only $10, figuring I paid $5 each for 8 vacuum tubes, and $10 for a rackmount shelf, for a total of $60. Add $10 for the cost of the surplus panel lamp holder and power switch (both of which I added) and an old extension cord and...
We really need a topic to discuss regular battery chargers. Since you can't just to to the wal-mart and buy a 24V unit, we can use industrial kinds (or modify one like I did before, but that one is not in any way regulated, and I want to address professional types separately than modifications)_...
This is very interesting, heck, cutting the filter cans down and making a hole like that in one is beyong me.. The discussion and pictures of this work and all sides of the opinions is very stimulating. This board is great, it's like a think tank.
Hi jasonjc, I'm in!
May I make suggestions?
If, instead of 'occupy by force', this becomes a special event as defined by the park rules, would you please configure the event allow ATVs, it will make it easer for me to get around once parked.
I ask this because I won't be taking my...
There is supposedly an adhesive stick-on rubberized 'sheet' type heater.. seen them here and there. Might be good to wrap around the sides and front of the main sump. Don't know where to find such things.
Another interesting alternative, if a large enough flat space could be found on a water...
RE: Re: RE: any gereen iron places in dallas texas?
the militaria show is 9A-5P saturday, and a 2 hour drive, probably not worth it if you have to leave saturday. I never been to Rapco, might be fun if can start out fairly early.. Well nickd, you pick what you want to do according to what...
