holy big expensive muffler batman:roll:my muffler cost less than 50bucks and fits under the exhaust shield if you didnt know it was they you couldnt tell.electric cut outs are cool but they are for 12 volts
looking good .seems everyone straightens out the rear doors rather than keeping the angle.i think it would be cool to keep the angle so you could have a bigger back seat maybe even run two pass side seats:roll:or a seat from a van that turns into a bed:-Dplus it would probably be an easier mod...
you did a good job on that input bearing that will tear up the input shaft like that real quick.you still should of had fourth gear though since it doesnt use the counter shaft in fourth.so rather that having it towed you could of put it in low and in fourth gear to get you home
never try to justify buying more tools or making a truck bigger .anyone you'd have to explain it to will never get it .as for four or six doors go with six keep the stock frame and keep it 6x6.if you cant handle a big truck you should just get a jeep put some 33s on it and tell all your friends...
ok ive spent the last two hours reading this post .and a couple things i just dont get :roll:all that awsome work detailed as could be no expense spaired.and then a cut ane weld on the frame inspead of doing it correct and drilling out the welds moving the cross members.punching new holes and...
it's a pretty univesal gear lube we use it in our rear ends and manual trans's at work just need to put posi additive wneh used in a posi or limited slip rearend .most manual transmissions have brass thrust washers
395s have a better tread for mud but dont have as much capacity and wear reallly fast on the road and are not as good in the snow - rain.i went with the 15.5s for better all around just loose a little bit in the mud
still working on it ended up getting the wrong spacer i picked up the right one today just have to bore out the pilot hole so hopefully i willl have it on this weekend. i will definately have it on before haspin cuz i want to compare the mpg and see how much better it pulls the expandable .i...
ya front would deffinately limit the travel.you could run a long shock mounted on an angle to get the travel needed i dont think you would have enough room the run them straight since they would be to long to fit between the bed and the axle:roll:
yes shocks would help i agree an empty truck wont flex the springs much but the whole rear suspetion is on a pivot .and that is what makes for a bad ride in the back .i think if you put shocks on one of the rear axles it would help greatly with wheel hop.like the kind of wheeel hop you get when...
that is really low for the pedal hieght have you checked the brake adjustment :roll:did you check the fluid level in the resovoir. look for leaks adjust the brakes if everything is good there and fluid level is good it's probably the master cylinder or air pack.my brake pedal only moves about an...
ya i put two new 6 tl's in my truck they barely lasted a year then crapped out i put dual purpose batteries from auto zone in there it starts better than ever :-Dand they act a a deep cycle battery so they hold up to the real world useage of the deuce
nice job finding some mud. very daring without a winch . glad you didnt get stuck you would have been wanting to trade it for a jeep or something else you can pull out with a quad .
