RE: jeep diagnosis
I own a 1943 ford all matching jeep. That one does not look that bad. There is a couple of things that stick out, the one that looks funny to me is the fuel sump on the drivers side for the "L" shape gas tank the WWII jeeps had, it looks home made. They were very prone to...

I have two of the FFN Crash trucks just down the road from you in North Carolina, plus a M530 fire truck. I have taken Sean "under my wing" on his truck.......and he still speaks to me.
If you PM me again your e-mail address Maddawg, I will send you a...
I got mine for $1,920 at the GL sale, air shift and hard top. After recharging the batteries it fired right up and every thing looked great!
Down side, it was a great truck till the day I picked it up. GL guys used a forklift to push the truck ripping off the new brake lights and bending the...
Winching yourself out of a jam.
Back in the 60s there was a company that made a model of that winch that was sold to mount on civilian cars. The ad shows a guy in a station wagon on a muddy dirt road useing one to get unstuck. You removed some of the lug nuts and bolted it on.
I have also heard...
One more plus, sence they were used almost forever in the military, it is not that hard to find some one who worked on one while in the military. If you stop by the VFW and ask for help do not go into shock if you see grand pa, and a teenager step up to help you.

On one of the military web site we have at work (MCAS Cherry Point, NC), they showed a tape like this one last year. It was an Army unit having some fun with HUMMERs. They trashed them. At the end of the tape there is a little write up on the NCOs who were seen in the vidio.....ouch, if you are...
I have had two CCKWs, a super 1942 closed cab one and a very rear air borne one with the correct bed. Once you start restoring it, PM me as I do still have some parts down here in the way. Plus some manuals also.

We still have a couple at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. They are ugly, slow, but they work, and do the job, so we keep them instead of buying new stuff. It is a Marine thing.

I have two WWII Marine Corps M3-4 firetrucks. Let me know if you need any firefighting stuff. I have several 30 pound fire extenguisers with WWII dates stamped into them.
16 of my 20 years in the Marines were spent as a fire fighter.

PS, I just saved a perfect WWII...
I found two manuals in my tool trailer for the grinding machine. This is the grinding machine that grinds the chainsaw chain,..it sharpens them.
If any one is restoring their trailer and needs one of the manuals let me know and it is yours. I have two to get rid of. The manual is free, just pay...
I will keep looking, but so far all the photos I have come across of our M880 are to far to see the markings on the doors.
I remember the marking, but I can not remember the numbers that were in it. Funny thing is the unit marking made no sence to us because the numbers had nothing to do with...
The numbers would have nothing to do with the manufactures numbers. They are Marine numbers.
On the M880s we had, ours had the unit markings on the doors.
I might have a photo of one of the Dodges, will check tomorrow.

I went up to my 1966 M35a2 today to crank her up and let her run for awhile. I do this every month.
Today, she turned over very strong, but would not fire up. I made sure the STOP ENGINE cable was all the way in. She just would not start. She cranked up last month with no problems and ran great...
RE: Few shots of Deuce on at Hague NY Memorial Parade

Wish you were closer, I would give you a case of the correct color, or even a case of Navy gray.
We will add your name to our prayer circle at church.

Ok..lets call thia a "one off" sell
Does any one need the part that goes on the back of a rough terrain forklift that the pintol hook is attached to? The part attaches to the back when you need it and is stored when not in use....I think..
Well, I have one with the pintol hook still on it, if...
I got lucky on the last auction....till I picked it up.
Good news, the write up stated soft top, but photos showed the truck had a hard top, got lucky, she had a hard top!
Bad news, they damaged my truck while loading her, then the wrecker driver swings wide on our farm and the truck hits a tree...

I think his truck is a M211 with a tank placed in the bed. There is a very complete M220 tanker down the road from me here, it looks just like the M49 and M50 from the sides and rear. I have been wanting to stop by and leave a note on the windshiled, but I am worried they would call me...
