Interesting. That's where it should be, but somebody has done a little modifying. That looks like a glow plug relay, which if that was what they had wired in for the starter, could have gone bad. Test it to see if it works. Myself, I would put the correct relay back in. The one you have in there...

So it sounds like your starter will not engage but everything lights up. First check cable connections and clean if needed, especially the grounds. Before you go replacing the starter, my guess would be that the starter relay under the dash has failed. Common problem. Being a relay, they will...

OJSDNA and I got back about 2300 hours last night. Would have been sooner but had a layover on the Ohio Turnpike for a bit. Don's tranny cooler line developed a small leak and progressed to a LARGE leak. Couldn't figure out why no one would drive behind him... Lost the trans as we were coming up...

Wow BC, that looks GREAT! Looks like a perfect match to me. How in the hot place did you get that bed flipped upside down and in the shop for paint? Is it setting on sawhorses? :)

Good question. I think a couple would be... Combustion would not be optimal resulting in decreased engine efficiency and accelerated contamination of engine oil.

Steve, take someone with you that is familier with the duece when looking to buy. That would be a big help as they'll know what to check. Once you buy one, you won't know how you ever got along without one. The ONLY thing to be EXTREMELY cautious of is, for some unknown...
