Wellman glow plugs are self limiting, ie. they won't blister if the relay fails and a continuous load is applied to them. They are a much more reliable glow plug the the original AC13G's. They claim the military uses them. Ok, everybody makes claims... But, two of my cucv's came with 070...

You could always be buried in it, Patrick! :) You could leave the communication equipment on and we could send messages! lol Of course, then you'd have to buy a whole section of a cemetary just to have enough room to put it in the ground.....

I've never had a cucv with the large card in it. Nice looking truck. I like to keep the system original because it works well, but that's just me. I see you are missing the resistor pack on the firewall behind the engine. That is what steps down the 24v's for the glow plug relay.

Just remember, the flapper is going to make noise if the truck is just idling.

RE: M1008 engine and ? MR, the only things that are 24v on the cucv's are the starting system, glow plugs (cut down with a resistor), slave connection, and connection for communication equipment. All you would need to do for towing a civy trailer is to make an adapter/jumper between your...
