I think the illegal alien problem would be taken care of if they needed a SSN to work. The easiest way to enforce that would be to only allow the tax deduction to the company that hires them if they have it. No SSN, no deduction, no deduction no work. They won't come if they can't find work...
So there is no difference between a gas and diesel other than the filler or is the sending/pickup different and I need a tank from a diesel truck? What did your new tank cost? I like the Idea of a 31 gal tank.
Thanks,
Greg
My M1008's tank had a leak and was removed by a prior owner. The pickup/sending unit was lost. Is the M1009 unit the same or close enough to use? I have a M1009 parts rig with the tank still in it so I could pull it if it would work.
Thanks,
Greg
I have heard it listed as 5/8 ton also, half the capacity of the M1008. I once flat towed a M1009 with another. At 35 MPH it felt ok. Above that I had problems. It will start wagging just by altering the air flow around you at 50. Like if a large truck comes up close behind. I won't do it again...
I don't understand how the thing works but you are making sence. It looks exactly the same and it says 24 volts but if those side terminals need to be 12 volts, I see a problem.
The guys at napa are scratching their heads so if somebody has the # I need or a working relay you would like to sell...
I believe the starting problem with my M1009 has to do with the relay. I'm on my second one from Napa. I think I'm getting the wrong one. Its a ST88. Is this the right one? If not which one is? I have power to it but nothing comes thru. I have power at all the terminals but the bottom .
Thanks...
Thats a nice S-120 you have. I have one too. IHC often put their build sheet (which they called a line setting ticket) up under the dash on top of the glove box. Mine was up there. It will tell you everything that was factory installed on your truck and where it was delivered too. Search...
I'm looking for a front bumper for my M62. I need to know if all 5 ton bumpers are the same or not. If anybody close has one forsale I'm interested.
Thanks,
Greg
Can anyone help with a 5-ton considering I win it in this present auction ending 2/6. I may need somebody to pick it up and store it until I get there, or be a back up if it doesn't run. Maybe I should bid on 2 with the hope of having one that runs to tow the other.
Thanks,
Greg
I'm parting out a M1009 and have both front and rear, but I don't have time right now to remove anything. Sorry to be a tease but if your not in a hurry, I plan to be in Idaho early summer or you can get them yourself if your comming to the convention in August.
Greg
Thanks for the pictures. That mount base is what I need for sure. The light from Saturn I think would work if I can't find an original. As per the holes in the fender my turn signal and wrecker light are mounted side by side on my M62.
Dave you are correct, my terminalogy is bad. Trucks like yours are sometimes referred as expandable. I didn't know the difference. The truck like yours is what I was referring to. I'm the one thats sorry for the confusion.
How does it seal out the water? When the wings are out one side would have water flowing toward the truck. Depending which way it's leaning. Dave you have some very nice looking trucks. What are your plans for it?
