    Fuller 9 Speed

welcome to the site! there is a wealth of knowledge from the folks lurking on the site. however, sometimes getting that info out of them can be a chore. first thing someone is going to reply with is, "have you done a search on the subject"? this is a favorite response by lots of folks that...

    Who here bought these Hemetts?

Bruce, Jimbo - when this was brought up the other day i was doing a little searching on the net and quickly found it interesting that Olive-Drab mentions a 2" kingpin option that depends on MHE crane configuration. yet, everywhere else only mentions the 3.5" kingpin, though mainly in conjunction...

    Allison Trans

if you are using the multifuel, i think you'll need to take some measurements - the at1545 is a good bit longer than the spicer 5spd. it will be tight without relocating the transfer.

    Who here bought these Hemetts?

that's a beautiful sight, Bruce!! just as long as you didn't pay what the Army paid... is that a mechanical or DDEC motor? and is it an -A (aftercooled) motor? i didn't think the HEMTTs had coolers - if they did, they were air-to-water, i'd assume.

    Who here bought these Hemetts?

no one does this anymore and hasn't for years. now that the fuel is JP8 it isn't near as volatile as gasoline so the concern isn't there. also, how would you plan to disguise the tractor-pulled tanker trailers - dress them up like a giant twinkee? rofl these trailers transport about 95% of the...

    Who here bought these Hemetts?

sorry, Bruce - i've never even seen a 983 tractor while i was in, so no experience on my part. we never supported any Patriot BNs so we never had any come into the shop. all of the ADA units we supported were all MLRS. i've literally seen just about everything else [wheeled] because we've...

the deuce shirt design for us deuce loves i need feed back!!!

i'm not sure you'll need different screens - choose the right colors it will display on several different shirt colors. personally, i don't see why the current design and screen colors wouldn't work on a black, grey, or tan shirt. obviously, if you wanted to do a green shirt, the screen colors...

    Second Gear

chuck, i think there's a gap between what you are saying and what Tom is saying. when you spoke of slipping the clutch, you also mentioned applying engine throttle. when Tom speaks of not slipping the clutch (as have i), he is just talking about easing the clutch out with the engine at idle...

    Second Gear

that's something that you can't measure, whether rolling or stopped. any gear is only going to see the maximum torque that the engine is putting out when the clutch is engaged. however, getting the clutch engaged is the infinite variability. as was already mentioned on this thread several...
