    Poll Spring or Box Seat

I didn't know the box seat had more room. I am heading out to modify my spring seat right now to see if I can get some more room. If not, anyone want to trade a box seat for my spring? At 6' 8", I NEED more room! Dennis

    27,700 lbs Deuce

Chris- Had both axles connected. Some nice tire slid around sharp corners. I was looking for the other thread, I remembered seeing 34,000 with sand in a deuce. He had the troop seats on, and the sand was pretty high. Dennis

    27,700 lbs Deuce

Not a record, but still a lot of weight. Hauling some crushed limestone for a friend. Truck with 6.7 tons on it weighs 27,700. 27,700-23,550 GVWR puts me at 4150 lbs overweight. Was able to do 50-55 mph, just took a while to get to speed. Brakes worked good. Should have taken a pic of the...

Good Audio file about Multifuel engine

I don't know about running straight gas either. I have run straight gas, truck ran, but not as well as diesel. I was wondering about the timing change when the compensator has been bypassed also. Dennis

Good Audio file about Multifuel engine

Found this on GL(government liquidation). Decent audio file explaining the Multifuel engine. Mostly stuff you already know about, but a good file for someone that wants to know what a multifuel is. Can I upload this file to Steelsoldiers somewhere? Dennis

    Well, I'm alive!

A lot of us here run the trucks at 2500 rpm all day long with no problems. Maybe time for a head gasket change? Dennis

    Starting them young!

Yea, name is Jacob. We have a habit of picking really popular names for our kids. Daughter is Ashley. He's tall like his dad. He really has to push to get the clutch in, and steering is a two arm operation. Should see him holding the clutch in and using both hands to pull the gearshift in...

    Starting them young!

Video of my son driving the deuce. 9 yrs old, he actually started at 8. Does the whole clutch and shifting to 1st and reverse. With the seat all the way forward, he can reach the pedals. Fun to watch him crank that big steering wheel around. Dennis

    M38A1 won't drive over 35 MPH... Help!

This jeep had the same problem, anything over 35 mph and it would shimmy like crazy. No idea what the problem was, with 5.38 gears, getting to 35 was hard enough. Dennis

    Wheel Bearing Almost a disaster

    Deuce Snow Video

Some video of me playing in the snow with the deuce. Got about 2 feet of snow, which is a lot for this area, and then the wind picked up to 35 mph. Drifted 3-5 feet in some spots, and down to the grass in others. I was amazed at the amount of snow the deuce can go thru, I didn't find anything...
