For headlights go with Hella 003427291,they take HB2,H4 or 9003 bulbs,so lots of choices.Aux. lights I like KC Daylighters.Kinda old school but fairly cheap. Also they take a H3 bulb available in 24v or 12v,50-130w.The backup lights, foglights and offroad lights all take H3 bulbs.
A buddy of mine has a 7004r trans laying on his garage floor, its mated to a 2.8 v-6 out of a 86 S-10 2wd.Should I pick-up cheap?I would like to install in a 1009 and regear to 373s.What all would be involved with this swap? Not counting the regear.
I received 1 brass copper radiator which was a mess to my home, and so far 2 alum. rads with plastic end tanks delivered to autozone even though they called and ordered the brass copper rads.Im not happy, all boxes say b850/cu850 on them.

For back up lights look at kc hilites # kcc-517,I have a set but haven't installed yet,my plan is to cut out an opening in rear bumper to install.I have a nos bumper I picked up at Findlay show for a whopping $20.Im gonna put them where blk outs were, enlarge cutout and weld a mounting tab in...
From a fairly new guy to a new guy if you search 1009 battery cables all your ?s will be answered. These are not your normal 12v truck,I have learned a lot on here just by using the search method. And I have learned a lot by making mistakes.
Nice looking truck/rig.My bet its a posi unit,I have a gov lock in my 1009 and a Detroit locker in my ford 9 inch in my 79 Malibu, they both spin in forward, the 1009 in grass, mud and snow and the Malibu everywhere! Remember these trucks are old,who knows what previous owners have modified!Are...
Wednesday Fed Ex kindly dropped off my B850 radiator in a badly beaten up box, discovered water inlet and outlet pointing in wrong directions. Also coolant level sensor pointing down about 60 degrees.Thursday returned to Auto Zone, they were amazed that it was delivered in this condition.And...
